CUET UG 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the online application process for Common University Entrance Test or CUET UG 2022. As of now, the dates for the entrance exam are awaited though it will tentatively be conducted in the first or second week of July, 2022. Similarly, the dates for downloading the admit cards will also be announced on the official website. Meanwhile, candidates who have registered for the exam can keep an eye on the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in.

CUET UG 2022

More than 11 Lakh Registrations

According to UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar, a total of 11,51,319 candidates have already registered for CUET UG 2022. Out of these total registrations, 9,13,540 have already paid the registration fee. Students belonging to almost every state and union territory in the country have applied for the exam. It is expected that the exam will lessen the burden of scoring very high marks like 99-100% in the board exams.

Mr. Kumar also mentioned that previously, it was not possible for students who could not get very high scores to get admission to the top universities. However, with the introduction of a common entrance exam, this will no longer be a distant dream. As many as 44 central universities have participated in CUET UG 2022. Nonetheless, it is expected that more universities will be adopting the entrance exam in the coming years. Planning is underway to conduct the examination at least twice a year. This will help the students to plan and prepare accordingly.
