Only yesterday, May 19, 2022, the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued an official notice pertaining to CUET PG 2022 examination. The notice was published in the PDF format, on the official website nta.ac.in. Accordingly, interested and eligible candidates can begin applying for the postgraduate entrance exam on the official portal cuet.nta.nic.in. Online applications shall be accepted till June 18, 2022, 11:50 pm.
Central University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2022 is the first-ever session of this exam, scheduled sometime later this year. As of now, the official notice does not mention an exact or tentative exam date. However, here are 10 key points that each interested aspirants must know –
#1 NTA to conduct CUET PG 2022
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts several state- and national-level entrance exams across the country including NEET UG, JEE Main, CMAT, GMAT, UGC NET, etc. It has also been entrusted the responsibility of conducting CUET 2022 across 42 central and participating universities for the new academic year 2022-23.
#2 CUET PG 2022 – Single Gateway for Admission
Much like the CUET UG 2022 exam, the PG counterpart has been established for purpose of creating a single gateway for admission to all central universities. State-level and private universities may also use these scores for their respective admission process.
#3 Exam to be held in CBT format
As reiterated in the public notice, CUET 2022 shall be held through the computer-based format, at selected centres across the country. The list of cities available for this exam has been included in the information brochure. Being an online exam, the paper will comprise of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
#4 Dates of CUET PG 2022 registration
The CUET PG 2022 registration is scheduled from May 19 to June 18, 2022, up to 11:50 pm. Candidates can access the application form on the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. Last date for successful transaction of application fee through Credit Card, Debit Card and UPI is June 19, 2022, up to 11:50 pm.
#5 CUET PG 2022 application fee
According to the CUET PG 2022 information brochure, candidates need to pay a certain amount as application fee, based on the category to which they belong. Table given below summarises the application fee for each category –

Candidates living outside India need to pay Rs.4000 as CUET PG 2022 for up to 3 papers. To apply for additional papers, they shall be required to pay Rs.1000 per paper.
#6 CUET PG 2022 eligibility criteria
As indicated in the CUET PG 2022 brochure, there is no age criteria to apply for this entrance exam. However, candidates need to fulfil the age criteria specified by individual university for seeking admission.
All those who have passed the bachelor degree or equivalent examination in 2022 are eligible to apply. An aspirant must also be aware of an individual university’s separate eligibility requirements.
#7 Dates for CUET PG 2022 correction window
All those who successfully conduct fill and submit the CUET PG 2022 form shall be able to access the correction window thereafter, from June 20 to 22, 2022. Using this facility, candidates can make changes in their particulars, re-upload scanned images of their photograph and signature, etc. Beyond this facility, NTA will not be accepting any further rectification request. Hence, this facility must be used with utmost caution and care.
#8 CUET PG 2022 Duration & Slot Timings
As mentioned in the official notice, the CUET PG 2022 exam shall be held for a duration of 120 minutes, in two shifts. Shift 1 shall be organised from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm while shift 2 will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. As of now, no date has been earmarked for this exam.
#9 Language of CUET PG 2022 paper
For most subjects, the CUET PG 2022 question paper will be displayed in two languages – English and Hindi. In case of certain subjects, questions shall be displayed in a specific language.
#10 CUET PG 2022 Marking Scheme
Although the paper pattern shall differ based on the chosen subject, the CUET PG 2022 marking scheme shall remain the same for all. Accordingly, each correct answer shall be awarded 4 marks while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. 0 marks shall be awarded for unanswered/unattempted questions.
Being a CBT exam, a candidate is expected to mark the right option displayed on the screen. In case a question is dropped due to technical error, all candidates will be awarded 4 marks, regardless of whether they have attempted it.
