Calcutta University (CU) has announced result of BA / B.Sc (Honours / Major) Part II examination 2018 at wbresults.nic.in on September 20, 2018, at 3 PM. The exam was conducted from May 30, 2018.
The university has published result in online mode for all students who were enrolled in the program. In order to check individual result, students have to login with their roll numbers.
wbresults.nic.in is hosted by National Informatics Center. It supports results display of Calcutta University, West Bengal Board, Council of Education throughout the year. Check result online.
Students can check result and download marks for future reference. However, marks printed from online CU results cannot be treated as original mark sheets. One must collect it from university as per its schedule.

Whereas result is hosted at NIC servers, data for it is provided by Calcutta University. Students can only see it roll number wise. Roll numbers are as given in admit cards aka hall tickets issued by CU.
Upon reaching the login page for checking results, students will come across a small note that says “Note: B.A./B.Sc. Part-II (Honours/Major) Examination, 2018 have been published here with a view to provide immediate information to the examinees. These can not be treated as original Mark Sheets. NIC / University of Calcutta is not responsible for any inadvertent error that might have crept in the result of B.A./B.Sc. Part-II (Honours/Major) Examination, 2018 being published through this portal.”
Currently named as the University of Calcutta, formerly Calcutta University or CU, had conducted theoretical exams for BA / B.Sc Part I Hons under 1+1+1 system and also BA / B.Sc Part I Hons under 1+1+1 system from May 30, 2018. Examination for BA / B.Sc General under 1+1+1 system was held from June 8, 2018.
Practical examination for BA / B.Sc Part I Hons and Major took place between May 10 to 26, 2018. For the May-June exams, University announces exam schedule in the month of March.
Typically the Part II examination at the end of second year consists of two honors or major papers namely paper III and IV of 200 marks. There are elective subjects also namely paper II and III of 100 marks each of two elective subjects, bringing it to a maximum score of 400 also. Thus, maximum marks to be obtained in Part II exam is usually 600.
College wise statement of marks in respect of Honours and Major candidates are to be handed over to competent authorities of colleges; usually this activity takes place a day after declaration of result.
Less than a month earlier, CU had also announced result of B.Com Part III general program on August 30, 2018. Prior to that result of BA/ B.Sc Part III General 2018 was announced on August 14, 2018.
In the coming days CU is expected to announce B.Com Part II (Hons) result 2018.
