CSIR NET 2018 – What to do Next?

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, many B.sc Hons graduates and integrated MS-PhD program enrolled students appeared for the CSIR NET 2018 examination for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship. Students qualifying this examination will be considered eligible to serve in the field of Science and Technology. The goal is to create Ph.D. level scientific manpower in the areas of mutual interest. In the awaited result, the candidates will be available two merit lists, JRF NET Merit List and NET Lectureship merit list. Wondering what opportunities you will get after clearing the CSIR NET 2018 exam? Need not to worry. You will be getting ample opportunities in the respective fields.

About a 100 fellowships have been made in a tenure of 5 years and the students who will get selected generally have two options. Either the candidates can choose to perform Junior Research Fellowship or they can seek assistant professor jobs.

However, the scope is not limited for the students who appeared for the CSIR NET 2018 exam. The CSIR Fellowship examination was conducted in two shifts; Morning shift and evening shift. The question paper contained MCQ type questions of 200 Marks

Until the results are announced, the students may check the previous year CSIR NET cut off to have an idea of the expected Cut off for CSIR NET 2018.

Join Indian Research Institution – Candidates can choose any prestigious Indian scientific research institution. You have invested your 3 years which you can utilize for polishing up your skills. Your practice will be a thesis based on your research.

Start Post-Graduate Reseach – After that, students can start postgraduate research. This means writing research papers. And this way you will be able to present your efforts. You can also work independently on any good and worthwhile project.

Now you can upgrade your skills and do practical learning. Your research will require an in-depth analysis which will, in turn, give you more clarification of the basic concepts and fundamentals of the project that you have taken over.

a) Carrer as a Lecturer, b) career as a group leader c) Supervise research students d) teaching, e) you can also review grants and papers f) Also, you can present the work of the lab.

Students can also plan to establish a research lab of their own. However, you’d require permission from the Government authorities and follow the guidelines.

Working at Private Universities – Along with the Government departments, the candidates can also choose to serve in the private sectors. CSIR NET graduates who have gained 10 years of experience in the field are given opportunities to work with the private Universities.

Promotions – With experience, the students can grab the positions of the Head of Department, Principle, Vice Chancellor or Director.

Join DRDO Labs – The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) provide good job opportunities to the CSIR NET Rankers. The CSIR NET score card is evaluated by the DRDO.

Technical or Support Staff – Since the candidates gain the research skills and have a desire to support analysis, they are considered for the Scientific Lab Technician post or the position of support executive.

As a Scientific Lab Technician – You will be carrying out Team goals of Measuring, Recording, Testing, Sampling and analyzing results.

As a Support Staff -Students can also get to assist the Research analysts and Guide them.
