Teacher’s day is here again. And so is the day of you asking us to write something about our favourite teachers in “English”. Little did I know that one day I will be grateful to you for asking me to do that.
I sometimes, still, ponder the first day you were introduced to us by our previous teacher. We liked him better. But he had to leave. I never liked you initially, told this a thousand times maybe. But if the end is not good then you have worked hard on it; you always said. I still do; sometimes.
Growth is everything and you, needless to say, grew on us. Now when we look back it’s all dust, fun and memories.
You have taught us, danced with us, made us learn guitar (no I don’t remember that as you know). Is this the reason why I have so many hobbies I wonder?
Nevertheless, your contribution to our lives to make us who we are today makes us feel nothing but grateful. This deep-rooted gratitude to help us express, to make me write, to assist us in doing whatever we want to do is beyond this universe.
People find it baffling we are thankful to a tuition teacher and not a school teacher for making us who we are today. It is not that they contributed less it’s just you helped us more going out of your league to be a stepping stone in our life journey.
I would like to thank you through this letter. We are obliged that we were your students and shall always remain one. To watch your face shine with pride whenever you talk about your only two students. My words may appear frail but the gratitude I hold within is strong.
I will end this letter here with the same question I have asked years ago. Is this well written or should I rewrite it?
