Coconut Development Board under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, has invited online applications for junior stenographer, lower division clerk, and multi-tasking staff. The recruitment is open for matriculation pass students. The interested candidates must apply online before September 02, 2019.
Junior stenographer is eligible for level 4 of the pay matrix, and has 3 vacancies. Lower division clerk post comes under level 2 of the pay matrix, and also has 3 vacancies. Multi tasking staff is a level 1 post and has most vacancies, 7.
The essential qualification for junior stenographer post is class 10 pass, preferably graduation, with 80 qpm in shorthand and 40 wpm in typewriting. That for LDC is also matriculation, preferably graduation, with 40 wpm in typewriting. MTS post requires one to be class 10 pass or ITI course completed. Candidates shall possess good health and be fit to look after the office premises, horticulture activities / coconut plantation for the post of MTS.
Besides these conditions, candidates applying for the post of stenographer and LDC should be between an age group of 30 years. Whereas for MTS post, one should be 18 to 25 years of age. The upper age is relaxed by 5 years in case of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, and only 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
The proforma of the application form has to be downloaded from coconutboard.nic.in. The applications must be send either in English or in Hindi, superscribing the name of the post applied on top of the envelope within 30 days of the publication of this advertisement in Employment News.
Along with the application form, a demand draft of Rs 100 have to be drawn by the candidates in favor of the Chairman, Coconut Development Board payable at Kochi. SC/ST/ Women/ EX-servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Candidates working in central / state government, research institutions, public sector undertakings, should apply through proper channel. The Chairman of Coconut development Board reserves the right to reject any application without stating any reasons.
The information regarding exam dates, syllabus and center for conducting selection test are yet to be finalized. The eligible candidates will be further screened and shortlisted based on qualification, experience, age, etc. The list of the shortlisted candidates will be published in the website of the Board.
On selection, a Jr. Stenographer will be paid in level 4 of pay matrix (Rs 25,500-81,100), Lower division clerk in level 2 ( Rs 19,900-63,200) and Multi-tasking staff in level 1 (Rs 18,000-56,900).
