Cochin Shipyard, Limited has announced a recruitment notification of 132 vacancies for the post of Sanitary-cum-Health Inspector, Safety Assistant, Fireman posts. Those candidates who are interested, can apply online at cochinshipyard.com.
For the post of Sanitary-cum-Health Inspector, candidates should have a minimum of two year diploma in health inspector course and those with an experience in sanitary administration in large industrial / government establishments / private hospitals / NGOs / autonomous bodies / PSUs will get a preference.
Whereas for the post of Safety Assistant, candidates should pass SSLC and possess a one year diploma in safety / fire from a government recognized institute along with a minimum of year training experience in safety in a PSU or a factory.
Those applying for Fireman posts, should have a four to six training in fire fighting from a State Fire Force and must have a one year experience in fire fighting in state fire force. Those with a knowledge in Malayam will be considered desirable.
Apart from these conditions, the maximum age of the candidates should be of 30 years. The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC / ST candidates, 10 years for PwDB candidates.
The application process consists of two phases – One time registration and submission of the application. Before filling up the online application, all certificates towards proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste, disability etc and a recent passport size color photograph shall be kept ready in the system for uploading to the SAP online application portal.
After applying through online, applicants should retain a soft copy/ printout of the online application containing the unique registration number generated by the system for their reference. It is important to note that, the unique registration number shall be obtained only upon successful submission of online application.
There is an application fee of Rs 100 (plus bank charges extra)which have to be remitted using the online payment options – debit card / credit card / internet banking. The last date to submit the fees and the application form is October 18, 2019. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWDB need not have to pay the application fee.
The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of certificate verification round wherein applicants have to produce the original certificates and mark-sheets. Call letter regarding the same will not be sent to the shortlisted candidates by post. They shall be informed to download call letter by an e-mail / SMS / through CSL website.
The applicants should be of sound health and satisfy the medical fitness standards as fixed by the company. The candidates short-listed for appointment will have undergo a medical examination in the hospitals as prescribed by Shipyard and medical fitness further subject to certification by the Medical Officer of CSL.
