Coast Guard Navik DB Admit Card 2018 01/2019 delayed; Download from 19 Nov 2018

Indian Coast Guard Navik Domestic Branch (DB) recruitment 2018 01/2019 batch regarding admit card aka call up letter will now be issued on 19 Nov 2018 instead of today that is 08 Nov 2018. As per the Coast Guard DB 01/2019 notification, admit card for eligible shortlisted candidates were supposed to be available from 08 to 15 Nov 2018. The reason for postponing the issuance has not been clarified.

Nevertheless, a clear statement has been updated at official website that is joinindiancoastguard.gov.in to the effect that ‘Link for printing e-admit card for Navik (DB) 01/2019 batch will be available from 19 November  2018 onwards’.

Once the admit card is issued, candidates have to log in with registration number or email ID to get details. If they are shortlisted then they will be able to download their call up letters and attend recruitment test at assigned centre. Centre once assigned shall not be changed.

There are 5 recruitment zones. Northern zone covers Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Union Territory of Chandigarh states. North-Eastern Zone has states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Mizoram, West Bengal, Orissa, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura. Eastern Zone covers Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Union Territory of Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Then Western zone has Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chattisgarh, Kerala, Goa, Union Territory of Daman & Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep. North-Western zone has Gujarat. Noida, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Gandhi Nagar are respectively the examination centres for Northern Zone, North-Eastern Zone, Eastern Zone, Western Zone, North-Western Zone.

For the purpose of selection, candidates need to take a written test comprising of objective questions on Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Sciences, General English, General Awareness (Current Affairs & General Knowledge) and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal). Upon qualifying it, one has to take Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination.

Indian Coast Guard Navik Domestic Branch (DB) recruitment 01/2019 is for Cook and Steward. Educational qualification requirement for the post is class 10 pass with 50% marks in aggregate. SC and ST candidates get a 5% relaxation in educational qualification requirement.

As per notification, job description of cook is to prepare food in accordance with menu, and that of a steward is to serve food in officer messes, housekeeping, maintenance, fund accounting, wine and store handling. In addition they may get other duties for efficient running of the organization.

Basic pay is of level 3 that is Rs 21700. In addition there is dearness allowance and other allowances.
