Department of Forests and Wildlife, Chandigarh is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Forester and Forest Guard. The conducting body has advertised 20 vacancies for Forester and Forest Guard post. The written examination for this recruitment is scheduled in the month of December 2020. Interested and eligible candidates have to submit the application form by October 21, 2020. Aspirants can download the recruitment notice from the official website, chandigarhforest.gov.in.
The post of Forester and Forest Guard is open for candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture. Those who have passed 10th class in the second division and possess a certificate from ITI in Surveying/ Draughtsman (Civil)/ Civil Engineering. The age limit for Forester and Forest Guard post is 18 years to 37 years as on September 01, 2020. The upper age limit is relaxable to the reserved category as per the government of India rules.
Candidates can apply for Chandigarh Forest Department recruitment online. For this, they have to browse the official website, chandigarhforest.gov.in. Before applying, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the Chandigarh Forest Department eligibility criteria. Thereafter, aspirants shall register themselves and proceed to fill the application form. They should keep a scanned copy of the photograph, signature to upload while applying. Also, keep two copies of the application form and paste passport size photo on it for future reference.
As per the notification, candidates have to wait for 48 hours after the submission of the application to pay the fee. It takes around 24 hours to the bank to transmit the candidate’s data to the bank. The application fee for the SC/ ST/ Women category candidates of Rs. 200/-. Those who belong to OBC and unreserved category have to Rs. 300/- as application fee. The payment of the fee can be done through demand draft by visiting any branch of State Bank of India.
The selection to the vacant posts for Forester and Forest Guard is filled based on the written test, PET, MET. The exam pattern and syllabus for the written test for Forester and Forest Guard are available in the notification. Candidates who are able to qualify the written examination are called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This stage is followed by Medical Efficiency Test (MET). MET stage is conducted by the Board of doctors of Government Multi Speciality Hospital (GMSH). The final merit list is considered to issue appointment letters.
