The State CET cell of Maharashtra is conducting MHT CET 2020 online, starting from today October 01, 2020. The Maharashtra common entrance test is being held over a period of 15 days from October 01 to 20, 2020. On 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th October, the exam will be held of the PCB group. Then on 12th, 13th 14th, 15th, 16th, 19th, 20th October, the entrance exam for PCM will be held.
As per the latest press releases by the state CET cell on September 30, 2020, the total number of candidates who have registered for the exam are 4,51,906. These registrations have been received from aspirants across the nation. However, of these total registrations, 4,35,653 registration is from the state of Maharashtra alone.
Last year 4,13,284 registration were received from all over the nation and 3,96,624 from the state of Maharashtra.
From all over the nations, 166107 candidates have applied for the PCM group paper. For PCB, 195275 candidates have registered. Also, there are 90524 candidates who have registered for both PCM and PCB group.

After Maharashtra, the state from where maximum registrations have been received is Madhya Pradesh. The total registration from Madhya Pradesh state is 2874. This is followed by the state of Uttar Pradesh with 2470 registrations. The third state with the highest number of registration after Maharashtra is Bihar with 2176 registrations.
From the state of Maharashtra, the highest number of registration came from the Pune district. A total of 40661 registrations came from Pune.
Comparing the male and female candidates show that more male aspirants have registered for the exam. 1,92,743 female registrations and 2,59,134 male registrations came for the exam from across the nation. Additionally, 29 transgender candidates have also applied.
145784 candidates have applied under the open category, 122771 under the OBC category, 10979 under EWS, 50749 under SC, and 18446 under the ST category.
After the MHT CET 2020 exam, the CET cell will be uploading the MHT CET 2020 answer key, question paper, and response sheets online at mahacet.org. The keys, question papers, and the response sheets are uploaded 2 to 3 days after the exam for all the days are complete. The candidates will have to login using their login details to check the answer keys, response sheets, and the question papers.
The candidates will be also allowed to raise objections against the answer keys. If the objections are found valid, then the changed and corrected answer key will be uploaded again. This will be the final answer key based on which the result of MHT CET 2020 will be calculated.
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is held at the state level for admission of candidates in B.E, B.Tech, B.F.Sc, B.Sc, Pharm.D, B.Pharm, and B.Plan courses. It is a computer-based test of 200 marks.
