Chandigarh Administration Clerk Exam Date likely to be 22 Dec, suggest reports

The Chandigarh Administration will conduct a written test for the recruitment to the posts of clerk, and steno typist.

Chandigarh Administration Exam Date

The Chandigarh Administration, Department of Personnel is organizing the recruitment 2019 process for clerks and steno-typists. For this recruitment, the exam date and admit card are eagerly awaited by those who have applied. In this regard, the recent reports suggest that the Chandigarh Administration clerk exam date could be December 22, 2019.

Since a few days, word has been going around the internet that the fourth Sunday of this month will be the day when the test for clerk and steno typists will be conducted by the department. However no official source has confirmed, or denied the reports. 

On the other hand, a few sources also suggest that the exam will be in January 2020. 

In the absence of any concrete information on the matter, candidates are regularly visiting the official website chdrectt2019.in. It is for sure that as soon as the exam date is decided, it will be updated there.

Once the exam date is final, accordingly the Chandigarh Administration will release admit card aka call letter and hall ticket for the exam. The document will be only issued online, through the website chdrectt2019.in, and candidates will be able to download them using login ID and password. Applicants from any state should not expect to receive hard copy of hall tickets by post.

The administration has notified the selection process. There will be an exam in the form of a written test, with 2 papers of 100 marks each, and each of 2 hours duration. 

All the questions in the papers will be of 1 mark; there will not be any negative marking. Questions shall be in English.

First paper will be held in the morning session from 10 am to 12 noon. Second paper will be in the afternoon session from 2 pm to 4 pm. 

The first paper will have three sections, english upto 12th level, general knowledge, computer proficiency test. These will respectively carry 40, 40, and 20 marks. 

Then the second paper will again have three sections, this time they will be mathematics upto 10th level, statistics upto 10th level, aptitude including reasoning verbal and non verbal. Here the marks distribution will be 40, 30, 30 respectively. 

Selection process will also consist of a typing test for clerks, and stenography test for steno-typists. The former will be a test on computer for 10 minutes at 35 words per minute. The latter will be a test in English at a speed of 80 words per minute in stenography and 20 words per minute to transcribe the same on computer. 

Chandigarh Administration also says “If the number of candidates exceed fifty thousand, then a preliminary test will be conducted and aspirants equal to 20 times of the vacancies in each category will be shortlisted on the basis of merit for final test. The scheme of examination for the preliminary test will be as English – 20 marks, General Knowledge – 20 marks, Computer Proficiency Test – 20 marks, Mathematics – 20 marks, Statistics – 20 marks and Aptitude – 20 marks. The duration of the test will be two hours and there will be no negative marking. ”
