Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) or CG Vyapam issued a public notice yesterday, April 22, 2021 on the official website vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. As per the notice, the board has decided to postpone the release of the Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) 2021 application form. Application form release for the Chhattisgarh Pre-Pharmacy Test (CG PPHT) 2021 has also been postponed. These application forms were previously scheduled to release on Thursday, April 22, 2021. The notice further stated that once the COVID-19 situation stabilises in the state, authorities shall release the online application form.
CPEB is scheduled to conduct the CGPET 2021 examination for B.Tech admissions and CGPPHT 2021 exam for B.Pharm admissions. Registration process for the same were scheduled to begin yesterday. Subsequently, the last date to register for the exam was May 16, 2021. However, authorities were forced to postpone the application process due to the second wave of coronavirus.
India is currently facing the wrath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, various states including Chhattisgarh have imposed lockdown-like restrictions to contain the virus-spread. Due to this, authorities were forced to postpone the application process to a later date, as stated in the public notice.
Authorities shall be deciding new dates for registration once the COVID-19 situation is under control and the curbs are relaxed. Subsequently, the revised schedule shall be published on the official website of CPEB i.e., vyapam.cgstate.gov.in.
CGPET 2021 and CGPPHT 2021 exams shall be conducted in the offline or pen-and-paper format across 28 cities within the state. Admit card for the same shall be released on the official website for candidates who have successfully registered for the entrance test.
By qualifying the CGPET 2021 exam, candidates can get admission for variety of different engineering verticals including dairy technology, agricultural engineering, etc. Candidates can pursue these undergraduate courses from prestigious institutes across the state of Chhattisgarh.
Similarly, by qualifying the CGPPHT 2021 exam, candidates can pursue various pharmaceutical undergraduate courses in the state. Authorities have advised candidates to check the official website consistently to get their queries resolved.
Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) took the decision on April 22, 2021 to cancel the Class 10 board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Class 12 board exams have also been postponed to a later date. The revised schedule shall be decided based on when the circumstances within the state become favourable.
Similar decision has been implemented by various central and state boards. Most education boards have cancelled the Class 10 board exams for this academic year. Class 12 exams have been postponed without specifying a tentative new date.
