The IIT Bombay, which is the exam conducting body for Common Entrance Test for Design (CEED) has announced the exam date. The entrance exam will be held on January 19, 2018 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM till 01:00 PM. CEED is a national level entrance exam which is held for admission to Master of Design (M.Des) and Ph.D. Programmes.
The IIT Bombay has also notified at ceed.iitb.ac.in/2019/ that the website for CEED 2019 will start from September 25, 2018, onwards.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have a degree or diploma of minimum 03 years (after 10+2). Those who will be appearing for the final examination by July 2019 can also apply.
The online registration for CEED 2019 will begin from October 09, 2018. The last date to apply is November 16, 2018. Candidates can register themselves through online mode only. Before applying, check all the eligibility requirements carefully. A unique Id will be generated while applying. Candidates are advised to note it down for future purposes.
To register for CEED 2019, the aspirants need to enter their valid Email id and Mobile Number. Once the registration part is over, the exam conducting body will send the login credentials at the candidate’s email id and mobile number. In the CEED 2019 Application Form, the aspirants need to enter their Personal details, Academic Qualification details, upload images, etc.
To submit the application form, the aspirants need to pay the requisite amount of the application fee by using Credit Card/ Debit Card or Net Banking. Note down the important date, as the applications submitted after the last date will be imposed with late fee charges.
CEED 2019 is a computer-based test which will be held in a single session only. The duration of the exam is three (03) hours. The test will be divided into two parts, Part A and Part B. The first part will be held in one hour, whereas the other Part will be of two hours. Part A contains objective type questions (multiple choice questions, multiple select questions, and numerical answer questions). Whereas, Part B consists of questions that are aimed at testing design, drawing and writing skills.
The candidates are offered admission in M.Des and Ph.D. on the basis of their performance in CEED 2019. The admission in Master of Design (M.Des.) through CEED is offered at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIITDM Jabalpur. For Ph.D., the candidates can apply at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.
The result of CEED will be announced on March 04, 2019. The result will be declared online. To download the result, the candidate will have to submit his login credentials.
