The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the roll number finder tool on its website cbseit.in. Students from both classes 10 and 12 can now check their roll numbers using some basic details. CBSE has launched this portal to check the roll number last year. This was to ensure that the students do not have to go to their schools only to know their roll numbers. Similarly, this year also, the same website can be accessed by the students to check their roll numbers.
How to Check CBSE Roll Number
Step 1- Visit the official website for finding the roll number, i.e. cbseit.in or Click Here
Step 2- Select the class in which the candidate is studying
Step 3- For class 10, the user has to enter the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth
Step 4- Similarly, the user has to enter the candidate’s name, school code, father’s name and mother’s name for class 12
Step 5- Click on ‘Search Data’
Step 6- The roll number, candidate’s name, school number and school name will be displayed
Step 7- Click on the ‘Download’ button to download these details.
Even after following the accurate steps, some of the students are unable to check their roll numbers. The problem is that after entering the details, the website showed the message ‘No Record Found’. Reportedly, one of the reasons behind this could be errors on the candidate’s side. If one makes spelling mistakes while entering their name or parents’ name, then it is likely that this message will be shown.
On the other hand, another possible reason behind this glitch could be technical problems. Now, this problem was also evident last year as a majority of students were unable to check their roll numbers and other details. However, in case the problem persists, then the students can collect their data by visiting their respective schools. Alternatively, they can reach out to their schools via online means and get these details over an email.
CBSE Term 1 Admit Cards
As per sources, CBSE has already released the Term 1 admit cards on its website. However, students will not be able to download them directly. For that, they have to visit their respective schools and collect admit cards. The schools have to download the admit cards from the website and distribute them among their students. In addition to the admit cards, the Board has also issued certain guidelines for holding the upcoming Term 1 examinations.
