SRFTI FTII JET 2021 Long Overdue Exam on 18-19 Dec, Registration Open Till 2 Dec

The eligible candidates can apply for the admissions at FTII and SRFTI for the 2021-22 academic year through applyjet2021.in

The Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata (SRFTI), and the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune (FTII) decided to schedule the long-awaited Joint Entrance Test (JET) for the 2021 edition on December 18 and 19, 2021. The last date for the registration process of JET 2021 is December 02, 2021. The eligible candidates can apply for the JET 2021 online at the official website applyjet2021.in. This year, the Joint Entrance Test 2021 is organized by the SRFTI. According to an agreement made by the two institutes, each of the Film schools organizes the examination for a two-year cycle.

The Joint Entrance Test (JET) is conducted for the eligible candidates to secure their admissions in the different courses offered in the SRFTI, Kolkata, and the FTII, Pune. The candidates who are graduated and students who are in their last year of graduation are eligible to apply. The candidates are advised to check the complete eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. The courses offered by these schools are divided into three groups, A, B, and C, and include TV and film courses spanning screen acting, screenplay writing and direction, editing, sound design and recording, production design and art direction, production television engineering, management, and writing, producing films and TV, etc. 

For the registration process, the candidates need to visit the official website i.e applyjet2021.in, and then register by entering all the details required. After the registration, the candidates are provided their application number which is required to log in for filling the rest of the application form. The next step includes submission of the important document images required in the form. Then the candidates have to select the courses according to their preferences after which they will be redirected to the payment section. After the payment is completed, the application form is displayed on the screen. The candidates are advised to download and take out a printout of the application form for further use.

The candidates must submit all the details carefully to avoid any error in the application form. The guidelines for uploading the images of the documents are also provided by the conducting body on the official website. The applicants are required to choose three cities according to their preference for the entrance exam. After the registration process is completed, the candidates will be allotted any one of the three preferred cities. Every year, the SRFTI FTII JET is conducted in February, but the examination was postponed due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
