As per the letter, the test dates fall on Saturday and Sunday. For holding the examination, test centres have to be established in the buildings of the CBSE affiliated schools along with government and non-governmental colleges, universities and technical institutions located in Haryana. The letter further requests the receiver to set up the examination centre at their school/institution to hold HTET 2021.
The receiver further has to provide their consent by November 12, 2021. On the examination days, a total of 24 candidates have to be seated in one room. Every line will have 06 candidates and there will be 04 similar lines. Following this seating arrangement, a maximum of 310 candidates can be accommodated in one examination centre.
Furthermore, the staff to be appointed at each centre will be the institute’s own staff. For that, they will be provided remuneration or honorarium according to the rates fixed by the board at the respective centres. All important guidelines and instructions related to conducting the HTET 2021 examination will be sent at least 5 days prior to the examination. The letter ends by asking the receiver to give priority to the matter as the examination is of utmost importance.
It is important to note that an official notice regarding the finalized dates is awaited. This letter has been circulating only on social media platforms. The examination is likely to be held for three posts namely primary teacher, trained graduate teacher and postgraduate teacher. Candidates, as per their teaching capabilities, will have to select the applicable post.
HTET 2021 will be held in offline mode for a duration of two and a half hours. The total marks for the examination irrespective of the teaching level is 150. For every correct answer, 01 mark will be awarded and there is no negative marking. The qualifying criteria is 60% of the total marks in the examination. Moreover, the certificate will hold a lifetime validity. As per a notice published in September 2021; the government has decided that the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET will be considered equivalent to HTET or State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) to recruit PRT and TGT in the state.
