The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is presently holding the term 1 examinations for both classes 10 and 12. Examinations for the major subjects of class 12 have already commenced on December 01, 2021. The Physics examination is scheduled tomorrow, i.e. December 10, 2021. Students will have to appear for the exam for a duration of 90 minutes starting from 11:30 AM up to 01:00 PM. Students will be given a reading time of 20 minutes and not 15 minutes unlike previous years.
Sample Papers
Students who are preparing for the upcoming Physics examination tomorrow must note that CBSE has already released the sample paper for practice. Hence, they can easily download them from the CBSE academic website – cbseacademic.nic.in. The detailed steps to download the papers are given below.
Step 1- Go to the academic website of CBSE at cbseacademic.nic.in
Step 2- Now, hover over the ‘Sample Question Paper’ menu and select ‘SQP 2021-2022’
Step 3- Click on ‘Class XII’ and scroll down to find the option for ‘Physics’
Step 4- After that, click on the ‘SQP’ button to download the sample question paper.

In addition to the official sample paper, students can also find practice papers and MCQ questions on YouTube as well. These papers are released by the subject experts and educators. Syllabus
To give a final touch to one’s preparation, it is also important to go through the syllabus for one last time. This will help in ensuring that the student has not missed out anything from the prescribed syllabus. To download the syllabus, follow the steps given below.
Step 1- Visit cbseacademic.nic.in and click on ‘Curriculum’ and then click on ‘Term Wise Curriculum 2021-22’
Step 2- Now, select ‘Term Wise Senior Secondary Curriculum (XI-XII)’
Step 3- Click on ‘Revised Academic Electives – (Group-A)’ and then select ‘Physics’
Step 4- Go to ‘TERM WISE – Physics’ after which the syllabus will open.

A total of 04 units will be required for class 12 Physics term 1 examination. These units are Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism along with Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents. The question paper will be for a total of 35 marks. The first two units will comprise 17 marks while the second two units will comprise 18 units.
