The Central Board of Secondary Education effectively concluded the CBSE Class 12 term 1 Home Science exam today, December 22, 2021. The exam was conducted for a total of 90 minutes from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm at various affiliated schools across the country. More than 5 lakh CBSE Science aspirants appeared for the examination, held today. Based on the changes presented by CBSE for the academic year 2021-22 only MCQ-based questions were framed in the CBSE Term 1 Home Science exam. An aggregate of 45 out of 56 questions was to be answered carrying equal marks in an hour and a half.
CBSE Class 12 Home Science Answer Key
Due to the objective nature of the paper, students expect the CBSE 2021-22 Term 1 exam answer keys soon after the examination gets over. Hence, several educators post the answer key for every examination online. These answer keys are not released by CBSE officially and are known to be unofficial indeed. Although the answer keys posted so far predict 95% chances of the answers to be correct.
According to the students’ review, the questions asked in the examination were comparatively easier than those framed in the sample question paper. Questions were fairly simple apart from the last Assertion and Reasoning based questions which were trickier to answer. Questions in section A of the question paper were direct theory-based questions framed from textbooks. Section B consisted of questions patterned in aptitude format which needed some logic along with the knowledge to answer the questions. Section C consisted of 6 questions based on a case study, which was compulsory to attempt. 2 diagram/map-based questions were replaced by normal theory questions for visually impaired students. As per the revised 2021-22 bifurcated syllabus, today’s Home Science paper covered the following chapters as a part of the 50% syllabus scheduled for the Term 1 exam:
- Work, Livelihood and Career
- Nutrition, Food Science and Technology
- Human Development and Family Studies
Students can refer to the above syllabus of their textbook to recheck the answers covered in the unofficial answer key. The unofficial answer keys are not verified by the CBSE hence, students are advised to refer to multiple answer keys simultaneously. This will help them conclude a rough score that may or may not differ from the actual score. Calculation of scores can be done with the help of the CBSE marking scheme. According to CBSE: all questions carry equal marks and there is no negative marking.
