Another important term 2 language exam was successfully conducted for Class 12 students by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Today, May 13, 2022, the English Elective paper was organised for a duration of 2 hours, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Students had to attempt and complete the entire paper within the specified duration. In contrast to term 1 English Elective paper which was entirely objective in nature, today’s term 2 exam was mostly theoretical.
Looking at the the format of the CBSE Class 12 Term 2 English Elective paper pattern, a student’s writing abilities were put to test. So, clearly, there are no straightforward answers or definitions. Class 12 English Elective Syllabus Term 2
As per the bifurcation of syllabus specified for CBSE Class 12 English Elective subjects, following is a brief the syllabus which featured in today’s paper –
# Reading Comprehension – Unseen passages. unseen poems, case-based unseen passages
# Creative Writing Skills – Essay writing, speech writing
# Literature – Selected short stories, poems and essays from Woven Words
# Fiction – The Old Man and the Sea ( E. Hemingway) Chapter 6,7,8,9,10
# Drama – Arms and the Man (G.B Shaw)- Act- II & III
The paper was theoretical in nature with a few objective-based grammar questions. It was held for a maximum of 40 marks with the remaining 10 marks allotted to internal assessments.
CBSE Class 12 Term 2 Schedule 2022
CBSE Class 12 term 2 exams began on April 26, 2022, with full-fledged 2-hour theory papers. According to official schedule for CBSE Term 2 uploaded on cbse.nic.in, Class 12 board exams shall continue till Wednesday, June 15, 2022, with the last paper planned for Psychology subject. The board will be organising the next paper on May 17, 2022, for Business Studies/Business Administration subject.
