The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the class 12 English core exam today, i.e. May 13, 2022. A duration of two hours was given to the students to complete the exam. The exam commenced at 10:30 AM and continued till 12:30 PM. Additionally, every student got a reading time of 15 minutes. Soon after the completion of the exam, various coaching centres and subject experts will be releasing the answer keys in due time.
As such, the students who want to analyze their overall performance in the exam can go through these answer keys released by the coaching centres. Keeping in mind the pandemic, the exam was held amidst all COVID-19 protocols. Students had to follow all necessary instructions mentioned in the admit cards.

Where to check?
Since the official answer keys are not yet available, students have to rely on the question paper discussions and analysis as released by the educators. Despite that, only the unofficial answer keys can be referred to as of now. As mentioned already, these question paper solutions can only be accessed from the respective YouTube channels of the coaching centres and educators.

Question Paper
The CBSE class 12 English core question paper was mainly divided into various sections. Students were mainly tested based on their English Comprehension, Creative Writing Skills and Literature knowledge. However, the section-wise questions mainly included the following.
- Reading Comprehension – unseen passage, case-based unseen passage
- Creative Writing Skills – short writing tasks like formal and informal invitation cards, long writing tasks like letter or report writing
- Literature – questions were mainly based on extracts and texts that assessed the comprehension and appreciation, analysis, inference and extrapolation
The total marks of the question paper were 40. A total of three sections were seen in the paper. The first section was on reading while the second and third sections covered writing and literature, respectively.
