Chemistry (Code – 043) is one of the core subjects for CBSE Class 12 students. The syllabus of Chemistry is vast. So, the students find difficulty in its preparation. Thus, for the convenience of the students, CBSE has released the pdf for the sample paper of Chemistry. The Model Paper is available at cbse.nic.in. Candidates who want to score better can download it now. It will be very helpful in preparing for the board exams.

The question paper of Chemistry will have four sections, i.e. Section A, B, C, and D. All the questions are compulsory for the students to attempt. The Central Board of Secondary Education has not provided the overall choice. However, an internal choice has been provided in two questions of one mark, two questions of two marks, four questions of three marks and all the three questions of five marks weightage. The students have to attempt only one of the choices in such questions.

Section A will have 5 questions of very short answer type. Each question contains 1 mark.

Section B contains question number 6 to 12 i.e. 6 questions. These seven questions will possess 2 marks each. The questions will be of short answer type.

There will be 12 questions in Section C. These will be short answer type questions from question number 13 to 24. Each question will have 3 marks.

For Section D, the board will provide 3 long answer type questions. It will be ranked from question number 25 to 27. These 3 questions will possess 5 marks each.

Time Allowed: 3 Hours

Maximum Marks: 70 Marks

It is necessary to use the Log tables. But the use of the calculators is not allowed.

The syllabus of Chemistry is divided into two parts i.e. organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Therefore, it is very important for candidates to do better preparation. Go through the entire syllabus. Then practice the type of questions present on the model papers. Candidates can also do the preparations through the previous years’ question papers. It really helps. There is a higher possibility to repeat some of the questions from the past question papers.

Recommended: Chemistry Syllabus | Physics Syllabus | Biology Syllabus | Mathematics Syllabus

Along with the model papers, the board has also released the marking scheme for the same. Candidates are suggested to check the marking scheme also to get an idea about it. For the students, it would be beneficial.

CBSE Date Sheet 2019 is expected to be released in the month of December 2018. The exams will begin after February 2019. The students of the vocational subjects will be able to appear for the exams first. Then the students who have opted the core subjects will get the chance to do so.

Please make the syllabus coordinated to our daily life without giving least priority to memorization

The situation demands the eradication of classical English philosophy of breaking natural science as physics, chemistry biological science, etc

I appreciate NCERT for a tireless patience to make studies to newcomers more nature based but things could be more realistic

Here my thoughts comes when three specially abled persons made how the elephant look like by touching them with their hands only but couldn’t visualize how the elephant exactly look like
Here I am so far our education policy is concerned visualizing education as science students as specially abled three persons commenting as physics, chemistry, biology and my elephant happens to be nature
