Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are expected to release the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 notification on the official website iimcat.ac.in. The official notification may release next week, tentatively between July 26 and 28, 2021. Thereafter, the registration process might begin in the first week of August 2021. While IIMs are yet to comment on CAT 2021 or provide any tentative schedule, these dates are based on the previous year trends. While the actual date is hard to predict, here are the last 3-year’s schedules of CAT for candidates to refer to.
CAT 2020 exam and registration schedule
In 2020, the CAT examination was conducted on November 29, 2020. The registration process for the exam began on August 05, 2020, at 10:00 am on the official website iimcat.ac.in. The deadline to register for the admission test was September 23, 2020, at 5:00 pm. Authorities issued the CAT 2020 admit cards on the official website on October 28, 2020, from 5:00 pm onwards.
CAT 2019 exam and registration dates
IN 2019, IIMs released the official notification for CAT on July 28, 2019, and accordingly, the online registration process began on August 07, 2021. Candidates were given time till September 25, 2019, to complete the online registration formalities. While the image correction facility was provided from September 28 to 30, 2019, CAT 2019 admit cards were issued on October 23, 2019. The admission test was subsequently, conducted on November 24, 2019.
CAT 2018 examination schedule and registration dates
IIM authorities began the CAT 2018 registration process on August 08, 2018, on the official website. This online registration process continued on till September 26, 2018, up to 11:59 pm. Thereafter, CAT 2018 admit cards were released on the official portal on October 24, 2018, for the admission test which was held on November 25, 2018.
Based on the examination and registration schedule of the past 3 years, IIM is likely to begin the CAT 2021 registration process on any day between August 05 to 08, 2021. Candidates may get time to complete all the registration formalities till the last week of September 2021, preferably till September 27, 2021. Referring to previous years, CAT 2021 is likely to be conducted in the last week of November 2021. Admit cards for the same are likely to release 30 days prior, in the fourth week of October 2021.
