Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has launched the official website for STET 2019, that is http://www.bsebstet2019.in. Right now the website only has a logo, a menu, and a single message that says “application will be available shortly”. The STET application form 2019 will be available on this website only, from tomorrow, September 9, 2019.
Graduates and post graduate degree holders of the state are informed that Bihar STET 2019 will be the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test. It will be held on November 7, 2019. Application form for the exam will be available in online mode only until September 18, 2019. Although detailed steps to apply will only be available on the website in some time, it has been confirmed that the first step will be a registration process after which candidates will get user ID and password on their registered email address and mobile number.
All events related to the Bihar secondary teacher eligibility test 2019 will be through this website bsebstet2019.in only. That includes events starting from getting the information bulletin and details of exam, to filling application form, getting STET admit card, then answer key and result after the exam. Candidates who have decided to appear in the exam may as well as bookmark it for future reference.
STET 2019 will not just be an eligibility test – through it, teacher recruitment vacancies will also be filled for 37,335 vacancies. There are 25,270 vacancies for classes 9th and 10th teachers. And there are 12,065 vacancies for classes 11th and 12th teachers. Graduation and B.Ed are mandatory for the former, whereas postgraduation with B.Ed are required for the latter.
Non B.Ed candidates can apply for the computer science subject teaching post if they satisfy rest of the eligibility criteria.
There will be two papers. One will be for those who will apply to be teachers of classes 9th and 10th. And the other will be for classes 11th and 12th. Exam pattern for both will be similar – there will be 150 questions, in which 100 questions will be subject related, and 50 will be on teaching methodology. Candidates must get 50% in case of general, 45% in the case of SC, ST, PWD, female candidates in order to qualify. Then those who qualify will be put in the order of merit and on the basis of merit, their result will be announced as per number of vacancies.
Candidates enquiring for Bihar TET 2019 may note that this is the Bihar STET 2019. The difference is that TET is for teaching aspirants of classes 1st to 8th, whereas STET is for teaching aspirants of classes 9th to 12th. TET in Bihar was last held in the year 2017, whereas STET was held in 2011-2012. As of now there is information on whether TET will also be held or now. However STET in Bihar is under way.
