Border Roads Organisation (BRO), has published a latest recruitment notification to fill up 459 vacancies under General Reserve Engineer Force. The official short notice is available at the website bro.gov.in. Applications are invited by the BRO from qualified candidates to fill up the vacancies. Openings are available for various posts including Draughtsman, Radio Mechanic, Lab Assistant and others. Eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website. Completely filled up applications along with payment of the application fee must be sent to the Commandant GREF Centre, Pune. Candidates must send their applications within 45 days from the publication of the advertisement. Candidates living in indicated remote regions can send applications up to 60 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.
As per the notification, the 459 vacancies are bifurcated across the posts available as per various categories. Overall, there are 43 openings available for Draughtsman, 11 for Supervisor Store, 4 for Radio Mechanic, 01 for Lab Assistant, 100 for Multi-Skilled Worker (Mason), 150 for Multi-Skilled Worker (Driver Engine Static) and 150 for Store Keeper Technical. Border Roads Organisation has laid down certain minimum conditions of eligibility for individual posts. Candidates applying for recruitment to various posts must therefore ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill up and send their applications. For instance, Class 12th pass candidates within the age of 18 to 27 years who have a 2 years Certificate in Architecture or Draughtsmanship are eligible to apply for the post of Draughtsman. Similarly, candidates holding any degree, along with a Certificate in Material Management/Inventory Control/Stores Keeping are eligible to apply for the post of Supervisor Stores. The age limit for this post is 18 to 27 years.
It may be noted that only male candidates are eligible to apply for the posts indicated in this advertisement of the BRO. Interested candidates are advised to read the complete notification carefully where the eligibility criteria for all the advertised posts are indicated separately.
The BRO has also indicated the selection procedure to be followed for shortlisting of eligible applicants for final appointment. In this context, it may be noted than a 100 marks written test is to be conducted for shortlisting of candidates. BRO is also going to conduct Physical Tests & Trade Tests depending on the post for final selection and appointment.
