600 Plus Assistant Professor & Lecturer Required in BPSC; Online registrations Starts on Sept 04, Check Details here!

BPSC invites online applications from B.E/B.Tech/B.S/B.Sc (Engineering) pass candidates to fill the vacant posts in Government Engineering Colleges/Govt Women Polytechnic Institute under Science and Technology.

Bihar Public Service Commission has recently released an official notification to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Lecturer and Assistant Professor. The recruitment for these posts is advertised to fill up the 603 vacant posts. The official notification in regard is published lately of the BPSC website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. Online registration for BPSC recruitment starts tomorrow, September 04, 2020. The window to register online will stay in effect by September 21, 2020. The last date to submit the online application form for this recruitment is October 05, 2020.

Out of the total 603 vacancies, 306 vacancies are announced for Assistant Professor Civil Engineering, 166 vacancies for Lecturer Mechanical Engineering, and 131 vacancies for Lecturer Electronics Engineering. The said vacancies are available in Govt Engineering College Under Science and Technology and Govt Women Polytechnic Institute under Science and Technology.

Candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying for the said posts. To apply for Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, candidates must have B.E/B.Tech/B.S/B.Sc (Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering/ Technology. Those who are applying for Assistant Professor in Civil engineering should have B.E/B.Tech/B.S/B.Sc (Engineering) and M.E/M.Tech/M.S or integrated M.Tech in Civil Engineering. Candidates intending to apply for Lecturer in Electronics should have passed B.E/B.Tech/B.S/B.Sc (Engineering) in Electrical Engineering/ Technology.

While applying online candidate’s must have attained the minimum age limit of 21 years for Lecturer post and 22 years for Assistant Professor post. Also, there is no upper age limit for the announced post. Age of the candidates is calculated as on August 01, 2020.

Before starting the online registration/application, keep an email id and mobile, documents ready. Candidates can get the online application form link under the apply online > BPSC Online Application > Apply button against the post name. While submitting the application form, unreserved category candidates have to pay Rs. 750/- and Bihar state SC/ST/ women (all category)/ PWD have to pay Rs. 200/- as the application fee. After the successful submission of application, take a print out of the same and sent it to “Joint Secretary Exam Controller, Bihar Public Service Commission, 15, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Beli Road), Patna 800001”. The last date to submit the application through speed post is October 12, 2020 by 05:00 PM.

Selection procedure for these posts includes four stages. The first stage of the scrutiny of the academic record and research work carrying 20 marks. Those are found eligible as per the eligibility are called for the written examination (40 marks). Applicants who are able to clear the written examination are then invited for an interview round. Here, shortlisted candidates are asked to carry all the original documents in support to the educational qualification and Others. Additional 25 marks are awarded to candidates if they have relevant work experience.
