Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has advertised openings for different healthcare-oriented posts in the latest recruitment advertisement. The recruitment is for the posts of MBBS/BDS/Ayush doctors, Staff Nurse, Supporting Staff, and Group D Staff. The notification is available for download at the official website i.e. bbmp.gov.in. The selection of eligible candidates is to be done through walk-in interviews that are scheduled to be conducted by BBMP on the following dates. The walk-in interviews are scheduled to be conducted on July 10, 2020, and July 13 to July 15, 2020. Candidates are advised to read through the detailed advertisement carefully before proceeding to attend the interviews.
As per the detailed notification, BBMP has advertised multiple vacancies for the management of 10,000 COVID-19 patients. Applicants for the post of MBBS/BDS/Ayush doctors must have an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India or BDS degree obtained from a recognized University along with registration with the Dental Council of India or a BAMS degree in Ayurveda obtained from a recognized University. To apply for the post of Staff Nurse, candidates must have either B.Sc., GNM or Diploma in Nursing along with valid registration with the Karnataka Nursing Council. Candidates intending to apply for the post of Supporting Staff must have completed 3 years paramedical course. Those wishing to apply for Group D Staff post, must have passed Class 10. Candidates must not be more than 50 years of age as on the date of notification. In addition, it is mandatory to be proficient in reading, writing and speaking in the Kannada language as a necessary eligibility condition to apply for the posts.
The selection of eligible candidates is to be done through walk-in interviews to be conducted as per schedule. The walk-in interviews are to be conducted at Sir. Puttaana Chetty, Town Hall, Bangalore. Walk-in interviews are scheduled to be conducted on the aforementioned dates from 10.30 AM in the morning to 5.30 PM in the evening. As of now, the period of employment as announced by the detailed advertisement is 06 months only. MBBS/BDS/Ayush doctors are entitled to receive fixed monthly payment of Rs 45,000. Staff Nurses are entitled to receive a fixed consolidated monthly pay of Rs 20,000. Supporting staff is entitled to receive a fixed monthly consolidated pay of Rs 15,000. Group D Staff are entitled to receive a fixed monthly pay of Rs 12,000.
Eligible candidates can directly attend the interviews on the aforementioned dates. Supporting documents in original and their photocopies must be carried to the interview. It must be noted that the availability of vacancies are subject to change at the discretion of the Commissioner, BBMP.
