The wait is over for all PUBG fans in India as the multiplayer mobile game is all set to make a comeback as Battleground Mobile India in 2021. Pre-registration for the upcoming Indian (and legal) variant of the highly popular First/Third Person Shooting game has already started on Google PlayStore and on the official website battlegroundsmobileindia.com. Pre-registrations will continue from May 18, 2021, till the game is officially launched for download for Android (and other platforms).
Player Unknown’s Battleground or PUBG became a highly popular and addictive First/Third Person Shooting game as soon as it entered the Indian markets. However, the application was banned in India in September 2020 due to the Sino-Indian tensions leading to the takedown of many popular Chinese applications. Since it was banned, fans have been waiting and speculating the return of the popular mobile game.
While PUBG Mobile still remains banned in India, developers have come up with an Indian variant of the gaming application due to launch and being advertised under the banner Battleground Mobile India. The news is confirmed now as pre-registrations have already started on the official website.
South Korean video games developer Krafton has announced the commencement of pre-registrations for the upcoming Indian variant. Interested fans can pre-register for the game on Google PlayStore using any Android device. Krafton has not yet commented on when the application would be available for iOS devices as well.
The pre-registration process is extremely simple and can be done with just one tap on the screen. On Google PlayStore, users have to type in and search Battleground Mobile India. From the search result, one must carefully select the application with developer name mentioned as Krafton. On opening the download screen, users will be able to see a single button to pre-register. Clicking on the pre-register button brings up a dialog box which prompts the user to allow Google PlayStore to notify them when the game is released and to automatically start download and installation.
Krafton is offering exclusive rewards to those who pre-register for the game now. Rewards include the Recon Mask, Recon Outfit, Celebration Expert Title and 300 AG. It may be noted that as per Krafton’s announcement, the recommended minimum system requirements are at least Android version 5.5.1 or above and at least 2 GB of RAM in the android device.
PUBG in its initial form was not free from controversies as the game was reportedly highly addictive especially among teenagers. This time, Krafton seems to have addressed the issue. As per reports, users below 18 years of age have to provide their parent’s contact numbers in order to play the game.
