The Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) has changed the interview dates for OCES DGFS 2019. The fresh dates for interview are May 15, to June 15, 2019. For selecting the slot of the interview the Application Login at barconlineexam.in has been activated from April 17, 2019. The shortlisted candidates of a screening test can select their interview dates via login Id and password.
The result of OCES DGFS screening test announced on April 16, 2019, for Science stream. The result for the Engineering stream announced on April 17, 2019. The result announced in the form of pdf which contains the registration id and name of the shortlisted candidates. For the interview total, 3067 candidates shortlisted, in which 745 are selected for the Science, and 2322 selected for the Engineering stream. The result delayed, then the interview slot selection and interview dates changed.
Now all selected candidates have to appear in Mumbai and Hyderabad for the interview. The discipline of Geology and Geophysics have to go to Hyderabad, for the rest of the discipline the interview will be conducted in Mumbai only. BARC will provide the two way Rail ticket for AC Tier III, for all non-native candidates of these two cities. The fare will be provided for the shortest route.
The selection of the candidates for the OCES / DGFS 2019 is based on the performance of candidates in the interview. The screening test was qualifying in nature, marks of the test play no role in the final merit list. However, medical fitness is subject to qualification for the program.
The final result will be released in the last week of June 2019. The shortlisted candidates will be appropriately informed about their selection on their registered mobile number and email, and the same result will be displayed at the website of BARC.
After selection that candidates who opted for M.Tech, M. Chem. Engg. programs in DGFS Institutes, have to provide all the details of their M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engg. admission by July 4, 2019.
DGFS is a two years program and on the other hand, the OCES is one-year orientation course. During both courses, the candidates will be provided the stipend. For OCES, BRAC allows the stipend of Rs 35,000/- per month in addition with one-time book allowances of Rs. 10000/- also provided to the candidates.
As DGFS leads to the M.Tech, hence the candidates are provided the tuition fee for M.Tech. / M.Chem.Engg. Additionally, BARC bears the expense of the project as well, the candidates are provided the one-time Contingency Grant of Rs. 25000/- to do the projects.
The completion of the course will lead to the joining as Selection Officer in of the DAE unit if the candidate successfully clears the exam at the end of the course.
