Maitreyi College, Delhi is hiring candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. 71 vacancies are to be filled in 15 departments of the college – Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sociology and Zoology. The online registration link is open at colrec.du.ac.in and will close on September 27, 2019.
Before applying for the post, candidate should check that they fulfill the eligibility conditions laid down by Maitreyi college. Candidates who have passed Masters with 55% marks and have cleared NET, conducted by UGC CSIR are eligible to apply for the post. A Ph.D degree holder is also considered eligible.
In order to register, candidates should visit colrec.du.ac.in. Then they need to enter details of their valid email address, mobile number, password, and verification code. On submitting the details, candidates will receive the login credentials at their registered email id and phone number. An application fee of Rs 500 has to be remitted by UR, OBC, EWS categories via debit card or credit card or net banking. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Women are exempted from paying the fees.
The applications received shall be screened on the basis of academic qualifications on a 100 point scale. The screening committee will draw a list of all the candidates indicating the marks scored by them in descending order, i.e (from candidates getting highest marks to lower marks). In case of a tie in the marks of two or more candidates, the candidate having the highest marks at the Master’s level shall be ranked above others.
All the candidates securing 60 and above will be called for the Interview round. The documents that need to be carried at the time of interview are birth certificate, caste certificate, all the academic qualification marksheets and certificates, NET / JRF certificate, experience certificate, M.phil or Ph.D thesis, or any research publication. These are to be carried in original as well as in a separate self attested photocopy along with a photo ID proof of (Aadhaar card, voter Id, driving license, passport).
The status of the shortlisted candidates for Interview round will be published in the college’s website. The qualifying candidates will be posted in the above said departments of Maitreyi college, with a pay scale level 10th, as per 7th Central Pay Commission.
Maitreyi college is located at Bapu Dham, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi-110021, India. It was established in July 1967 and the college was named after the Vedic sage, Maitreyi. The college is under 38th rank under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2019. The college offers a three year undergraduate programme and a two year post-graduate programme.
