Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University has released the online application form for B.Tech 2020 and Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2020. With it, the university that was recently awarded Institute of Eminence status, has published eligibility criteria for admission as well.
The Amrita University application form 2020 is now live at amrita.edu. Students interested in pursuing engineering at the varsity can visit the website and apply online at the B.Tech admissions portal. Whereas only email id and mobile number are needed to register, the form requires personal details, academic details, and contact information.
B.Tech admission in academic session 2020-21 is on the basis of two exams – JEE Mains 2020, and AEEE 2020. Student should appear in at least one of the exams for admission.
Amrita engineering entrance exam will be held by Amrita University from April 23 to 27, 2020 – that is on five days, with three slots on each date. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2020 will be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA) twice – first from January 6 to 11, 2020, and second time from April 3 to 9, 2020.
For the Amrita B.Tech admission 2020, application fee is Rs 400 for those students who wish to apply for Amrita B.Tech admission 2020 on basis of JEE Mains 2020. It is Rs 1,000 for student applying on basis of either only Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering, or AEEE and JEE Mains both.
Age criteria, and educational qualification requirement were also released today. As per it, students born on or after July 1, 1999 are eligible for B.Tech admissions. They must have passed class 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as core subjects.
The aggregate marks secured by students in 10+2 (class 12th) should be at least 60%. In addition, in each of the core subject, the candidates should have scored at least 55% marks. Students who are currently studying in class 12, and will appear for board exams in the year 2020, can also apply.
Amrita University B.Tech admission 2020 is for 11 B.Tech program. They are aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer and communication engineering, computer science and engineering, computer science and engineering (artificial intelligence), electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electronics and computer engineering, mechanical engineering.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was established in 1994. It houses schools or departments of arts and sciences, business, biotechnology, communication, engineering, healthcare. Earlier this month, the MHRD issued a letter informing that Amrita University is now an Institute of Eminence (IoE). In the new batch of IoEs are DU, IITM, IIT KGP, U0H, Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, VIT, Jamia Hamdard, KIIT, Satya Bharati Foundation. The first five IoEs were IISc, IIT D, IIT B, MAHE, BITS Pilani, Jio institute.
