Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is recruiting eligible candidates for the vacant posts of Junior Engineer in Civil Department & Enforcement Inspector. The conducting body has advertised a total of 92 vacancies under the Water Resources Department of Assam PSC. Official notification is also published online recently with Advt. no. 12/2020 at apsc.nic.in. Online registration started today that is December 17, 2020. Candidates who are interested in recruitment can apply before January 18, 2021.
The total vacancies announced by Assam PSC is available for Junior Engineer in Civil Department & Enforcement Inspector posts. Out of the total vacancies, 87 vacancies are announced for Junior Engineer Civil and 05 for Enforcement Inspector. Those who are recruited under the Junior Engineer vacancies get monthly salary under the pay scale of Rs. Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/-. In addition to a monthly salary, they will also receive Rs. 8700/- as the grade pay. Those who are recruited as Enforcement Inspector get a monthly salary of Rs. 22,000/- to 97,000/- plus grade pay of Rs. 9,400/-.
Only permanent residents of Assam state can apply for Assam PSC recruitment. They have to submit relevant documents in support of the residency claim. Moreover, candidates should have passed 03 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized institute to apply for Junior Engineer (Civil). Those who are applying for Enforcement Inspector posts must have a degree in Arts/ Science or Commerce from a recognised university. A candidate who has passed 12th with 03 years Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering can also apply for Enforcement Inspector.
Applicant’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 38 years while applying. Also, the age of the candidate is calculated as on January 01, 2020. Assam PSC also exercises the age relaxation provision for reserved category. The maximum age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC/ MOBC and 10 years for persons with disabilities.

They also have to make the payment of the prescribed application fee. General/ EWS candidates have to pay Rs. 285.40/-, SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC have to pay Rs. 185.40/-, BPL and PWBD have to pay Rs. 35.40/- as the application fee.
The conducting body will schedule a written exam/ interview to shortlist candidates for JE and Enforcement Inspector. Candidates have to carry 10th certificate, educational qualification certificates and mark sheets, experience certificate, BPL certificate, caste certificate, NOC from current employees, Declaration Form-A and others as asked in the interview round.
