Today, a PDF file has appeared on social media that appears to be the Assam HSLC routine 2020. As per it, exams will start on February 10, 2020, and end on February 29, 2020. A total of 33 papers will be held on 12 different dates. SEBA, the Board of Secondary Education Assam, shall conduct exams as per official schedule.
On one of the exam dates, as per the HSLC routine available on social media, exams will be held in the morning and afternoon shifts, and one day it will be only in the afternoon shift. On other days exam will only be held in the morning shift. Morning shift exam timings are from 9 am to 12 noon, and afternoon shift timings are 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The date wise exams are like this in the said notification.
English exam is on February 10, 2020.
Music (E), dance (E), garment designing (E) are in the morning shift and fine art (E) is in the afternoon shift of February 11, 2020.
Manipuri (E), bodo (E), santhali (E), bengali (E) will be held on February 12, 2020.
Then advanced mathematics (E), sanskrit (E), geography (E), history (E), home science (E), nepali (E), computer science (E), arabic (E), persian (E) are scheduled for February 13, 2020.
Hini (E), arabic literature papers will be held on February 14, 2020.
Assamese (E) is on February 15, 2020.
Social science paper is on February 17, 2020.
Fish and aquaid, weaving and textile design (E) papers will be held on February 20, 2020.
General science exam will be conducted on February 22, 2020.
General mathematics shall be held on February 25, 2020.
MIL / eng (IL) exam will be on February 28, 2020.
Wild craft (E), retail trade NSQF (E), IT/ITES NSQF (E), private security NSQF (E), health care NSQF (E), agriculture and horticulture NSQF (E), tourism and hospitality NSQF (E) papers will be held in the afternoon shift of February 29, 2020, the last date.
The notification also states that students will get extra time from 8:55 am to 9 am in the morning shift, and 1:25 pm to 1:30 pm in the afternoon shift to read the question paper. Officer in charge shall arrange that question papers distribution are done as per that.
Modern Indian Languages (MIL) are assamese, bengali, hindi, bodo, manipuri, nepali, khasi, garo, mizo, hmar, urdu. There will be separate question papers for assamese, bengali, hindi, urdu MIL for high madrassa candidates having 50 marks and time duration 2 hours.
Elective languages of 3 hours, and in lieu languages of 2 hours, there will be a common question paper with groups A and B for each language that are assamese (E), bengali (E), hindi (E), bodo (E), manipuri (E), and santhali (E) irrespective of being elective or in lieu language.
Those who offer elective subject will have to appear in both the groups A and B while in lieu language students will appear in group A only, which will be treated as assamese (IL), bengali (IL), hindi (IL), bodo (IL), manipuri (IL), and santhali (IL).
Practical exams will be on January 21 and 22, 2020.
