Assam CEE 2020 Postponed; New Exam Date in September

ASTU will hold Assam CEE in offline mode in the state of Assam.

Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has postponed Assam CEE 2020. The exam which was scheduled to be held on August 01 will now be held on September 25, 2020. Due to the postponement of the exam, the issuance of admit card has also been delayed. Now, the admit card will release on September 15, 2020.

ASTU announced the postponement of the exam via an official notice at astu.in. The notice also notified that the exam will be held from 11 am to 2 pm. The results of the exam will be out on or before September 30, 2020. Any further change in the exam schedule will be notified via official notice, notified ASTU via the same notice.

Assam CEE 2020 Postponed

The decision to postpone the exam is taken keeping in view the rising COVID-19 cases in the nation. Recently it has been reported that 2 students who wrote KEAM 2020, the state level entrance exam of Kerala were tested COVID-19 positive. KEAM was held on July 16, 2020.

Assam CEE is a state level examination that is conducted for the admission in B.Tech programs. The exam is held in offline mode and the candidates have to attempt Multiple-choice questions in the test. The exam is held for 3 hours and the question are asked from Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. There are 40 questions in each section. In all, there will be 120 questions in the test of 4 marks each. The total marks for the exam are 480. The questions in the exam are asked in both English and Hindi language.

The syllabus of Assam CEE 2020 is as per the latest syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

Assam CEE will be held in cities located in the state of Assam only. The centers will be set up in Silchar, Nalbari, Lakhimpur, Guwahati, Bongaigaon, Tezpur, Jorhat, Nagaon, and Dibrugarh.

The registration for Assam CEE ended on June 20, 2020. The registered candidates will be issued their admit card at astu.in under the respective logins of the candidates. The login details needed to download the admit card are application number / user name and password. The exam centre will be allotted to the candidates via the admit card itself.

 The selection of the candidates is done on the basis of the ranks acquired in the Assam CEE 2020 exam. The selected candidates have to appear for the counselling rounds o complete the admission process.

Assam Science and Technical University was established on January 4, 2010, by the Assam Government. It is situated at Guwahati, Assam. It is a state university of Assam’s Government constituted by the Assam Science and Technology University Act, 2009. The university provided various UG and PG programmes such as B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, B.Sc., M.Sc. It also offers Ph.D. programmes as well.
