Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is recruiting eligible candidates for 69 vacant posts of General Duty Medical Officer (Allopathy). The openings are announced through Advt. No. PSC-R[A]/18/2020 on the official website, appsc.gov.in. The application process for APPSC General Duty MO (Allopathy) has now started. Candidates can submit their online applications by July 17, 2020. Eligible candidates can send their applications for APPSC Medical Officer, under the Department of Health and Family Welfare in the pay scale of Rs.15,600/- Rs.39,100/-.
The conducting body has advertised a total of 69 posts under APPSC General Duty Medical Officer (Allopathy) recruitment. These vacancies are further bifurcated category wise. Out of these 69 vacancies, 55 posts are reserved for APST candidates and 14 posts for Unreserved category. The 55 posts that are reserved for APST candidates also includes 3% of the posts reserved for Person with Disabilities (PwD).
Aspirants must have a recognized medical qualification that is included in the First or second schedule or Part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act to present their candidature for the post. Candidates willing to apply should not exceed the age limit of 30 years as on July 17, 2020. If the candidate has not yet completed the rotating internship they can still submit their application form. However, at the time of the interview, they must produce the certificate supporting their successful completion of the internship.
In order to apply for General Duty Medical Officer (Allopathy), candidates have to register through One Time Registration (OTR). The complete process of APPSC General Duty Medical Officer (Allopathy) application form is conducted through appsc.gov.in. Candidates have to pay the specified fee of Rs.150/- only through the online mode. Keep the scanned copy of recent photograph and signature to upload during the application process. The image of the photograph should be in JPG format of size 40 KB to 100 Kb. Candidates have to upload the signature done on white paper using the black pen. The signature’s scanned images should be in JPG format between 20 KB to 60 KB size.
Candidates are invited for the written examination if they have submitted the online application successfully. APPSC conducts the written examination with two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both these papers are conducted for 200 marks carrying objective type questions. Aspirants can download the syllabus for the optional subject (technical) from the official website of APPSC. The candidate is required to secure a minimum 33% marks in each paper and 45% marks in aggregate to appear for the interview round. This round is conducted for 50 marks wherein candidates are asked questions related to the General Aptitude, General Medical subjects for Medical Officer. One week before the actual date of interview, shortlisted candidates have to submit photocopies of certain documents to the Commission. Candidates have to submit recent passport size photo, 10th certificate, degree college certificates and mark sheets, APST certificate, PRC certificate in case of General candidate, disability certificate for Physically Handicap candidate and self-attested copy of Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council Registration Certificate.
