Armed Forces Medical Service is inviting online application for the post of Short Service Commissioned Officer in Medical Department. Total of 300 vacancies is announced out of which 270 are for males and 30 are for females. Candidates who have completed or completing their internship on or before June 30, 2020, can apply for the announced posts. Both male and female candidates are eligible for SSC Officer. The application procedure begins from July 18, 2020, onwards. Candidates can submit the forms before the last date of submission which is August 16, 2020. Candidates who have passed their final year MBBS examination in the first or second attempt can apply for the SSC Officer post. In addition, the applicant must have registered with any State Medical Council (MCI). Those who have a post-graduate diploma/degree recognized by the State Medical Council/MCI/NBE are also eligible for this recruitment. Aspirants age should not be above 45 years as on December 31, 2020. Those who have taken more than two attempts to clear the final MBBS (Part 1 and 2 ) exam are ineligible and are advised not to apply for the post.
The application form submission is conducted online on the official website, amcsscentry.gov.in. Aspirants have to click on the ‘New Registration’ to proceed with the online registration. PAN card number, email address and aadhar number asked during the Armed Forces Medical Service registration. A registration number and password are generated once candidates have registered themselves. After successful registration, proceed to fill-up the form and upload the essential documents. Keep the scanned copy of passport size photograph, class 10th certificate and aadhar card. A fee of Rs.200/- is charged as the application processing fee. Aspirants have to pay the fee through online mode following any one gateways internet banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.
An interview round for the selection is expected to be conducted in the month of September 2020. Eligible candidates have to be present at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt. In this round, candidates eligibility, suitability for the posts is assessed. Carry all the original and four attested photocopies of each document to the interview for the verification purpose. Qualifying the interview round allows candidates to appear for the Physical and Medical Standard Test. The final merit list is prepared based on candidates performance in the interview.
