Rumours are floating around about how the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Exams (APBIE) has postponed the Inter Half-Yearly exams 2021. In fact, several students are even believing these rumours even though no confirmation has been provided by authorities. A fake schedule informing the rescheduled dates is also being circulated on social media. It claims that the Inter half-yearly exams 2021 will begin from December 28, 2021. This is around two weeks later than the existing date of December 13, 2021. Here’s all a student needs to know.
As the date for AP Inter Half-Yearly Exams 2021 came closer, students began posting incessantly on Twitter and other social media platforms, requesting the APBIE to postpone the exams. Only around 5-6 days are left for the exams to begin. On such short notice, a board is unlikely to introduce any changes in the existing schedule.
Similar to CBSE, ICSE and state education boards, Andhra Pradesh is also conducting mid-semester or half-yearly exams for Class 11 and 12 students. Performance in these exams will also be taken into account while curating the final results of each candidate.
A rumour, however, spread on social media informing students about a change in the schedule. Even several YouTube channels shared a false circular, claiming to be issued by the APBIE. It states that originally the board had planned to conduct the inter half-yearly exams 2021 from December 13 to 21, 2021. However, after duly considering these requests, the board has decided on postponing the exams. After providing this short explanation, the supposed public notice provided the revised dates for half-yearly exams. Accordingly, both Inter 1st and 2nd year exams will commence from December 27, 2021, and shall continue till December 30, 2021.
Of course, while some students can consider this notice to be true, there are two pertinent reasons why it’s just a hoax – 1. The number of days allotted for the exam is less than the existing duration of 8 days and 2. The notice has skipped some of the subjects. For the second aspect, the notice does not provide any further clarification on the missed-out subjects. So will they be held on the original dates or not, is a question that remains unresolved.
Students appearing for the AP Inter half-yearly 2021 exams must be under a lot of stress. Under such circumstances, it’s justified to believe any positive news that comes their way, even if it’s just a rumour. They are advised to visit the official website bie.ap.gov.in for any latest announcements in this regard. This is to ensure that all news that they believe has come from the right source instead of an unreliable one.
