As per the official notice shared on the AIPBE official website, the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, has postponed the Intermediate public examinations until further notice. The Inter exams were to start from May 5. However, no statement has been shared about the AP SSC examination. The decision of the deferment of examination, was taken due to ongoing COVID-19 surge and crisis in nation. The AP intermediate examination are scheduled to be held in offline mode. Respected education minister Dr.Audimulapu Suresh, also shared this statement through his official twitter account.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh Government was keen on conducting the board examination on the scheduled date and time. Most officials believed that delaying the examination would do more harm than good to the students. Many parents raised objection and filed petitions against the same. Finally, considering the safety of more than 10,00,000 students, and respecting the decision of the Supreme Court, the exams now stand postponed.
Candidates will be notified about the new dates for the Inter exam about 15-20 days before the commencement of the examination. Until then, the state has declared holidays for junior college students, starting May 3, 2021. The teaching and non-teaching staff needs to report to the educational institutions as and when the situation gets better and the facilities are open. Candidates can utilize this time to prepare well and revise their syllabus again for the inter class exams. They should also take care of their physical and mental health.
The AP board has not cleared the air regarding the class 10th examinations i.e AP SSC examinations until now. As per the timetable released, the exams are scheduled to start from June 7, 2021, and continue until June 16, 2021. As per some tweets and student opinions, the exams can be canceled as well. However, this is not confirmed yet.
AP Inter 1st and 2nd year Examination refers to the class 11th and class 12th examinations respectively. Candidates appearing for the same, should wear masks and carry their admit card as well as hand sanitizer to the allotted test center.
