Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeeth university released the online application form for B.Tech admission 2020, and Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE) 2020 yesterday. Today, the university has disclosed what the last date to submit application would be. As per the announcement made today, last date to submit online application is April 6, 2020.
Amrita Online Admission Portal (AOAP) live for B.Tech admissions at amrita.edu will therefore remain available for a window of total 200 days. After the last date, it is expected the same window will be used to login and check application status. Slot booking and admit card of AEEE 2020 may be issued at separate links.
AEEE 2020 is scheduled to be held from April 23 to 27, 2020. Therefore slot booking and admit card download are expected to be available somewhere during second to fourth weeks in April.
The university is offering admission to the B.Tech program in Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Chennai, Amaravati on the basis of AEEE and JEE Main.
In order to be eligible for admission, students’ date of birth should be on or after July 1, 1999, they should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% in aggregate in mathematics, physics and chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.
The application fee is Rs 1000 to apply for admission on basis of AEEE 2020 only or AEEE and JEE Main. Whereas, those who wish to apply for BTech admission through JEE Main only need to pay an amount of Rs 400.

In order to apply for BTech Admission at Amrita campuses, the aspirants need to register online by visiting the official website of the University. On the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the “Apply Now” button. Next, the students need to register online by entering their phone number, email Id and creating a password of their choice. Once the registration is done, the candidates have to log in and move forward to fill-in details in the AEEE Application Form.
Other than filling-in details in the form, the candidates also have to upload scanned images of their passport size photo, signature and other necessary documents, if applicable. The images are to be uploaded in the jpg format. The last and final step is to pay the required amount of the application fee and submit the form.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has also opened registrations for JEE Main 2020. The last date to apply online for the January exam is September 30, 2019. Whereas the last date to apply for the April exam is March 7, 2020. Whereas JEE Mains is a national level entrance exam, AEEE is university level. However students from all over India, irrespective of domicile, can apply for Amrita Entrance Exam – Engineering.
