AIIMS Senior Resident recruitment for Jan 2020 announced, Online registrations open now

After completing post graduation in medical sciences, becoming a senior resident at AIIMS is the first choice for many. AIIMS SR SD 2020 recruitment are now open.

AIIMS Senior Resident recruitment for Jan 2020

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is recruiting candidates for the post of Senior Residents (SR) and Senior Demonstrators (SD) for the January 2020 session at AIIMS, New Delhi. The registrations opened yesterday, and will be available until October 15, 2019.

AIIMS SR SD 2020 prospectus, online registration are both available now at aiimsexams.org. The recruitment test has been scheduled to for November 24, 2019. Within a week, results will be declared on November 24, 2019. This will be followed by an interview, after which final result will be out on December 27, 2019.

AIIMS has a residency scheme. For the same, senior residents and senior demonstrators are recruited for a period of 3 years. For the Jan 2020 session, the vacancies are in 40 different specialties.

The pay scale for medical candidates will be Rs 18,750 + 6,600 (grade pay) + NPA and other usual allowances, or revised pay scale as per the 7th CPC, in the pay level 11 of pay matrix (pre revised pay band 3) with the entry pay of Rs 67,700.

Pay for non medical candidates M.Sc with PhD will be Rs 56,100 in level 10. Senior Demonstrators in medical physics (those with M.Sc) will be eligible for Rs 12090 + 4200 grade pay.

Medical candidates can apply for all the departments. However even non medical candidates can apply for the departments of Anatomy, Biophysics, Biochemistry. Moreover, only non medical candidates can apply for SD in medical physics.

MD, MS, MDS, DNB are the required degrees for AIIMS SR SD 2020. The specialties in which candidate should have the degree, vary from program to program. However one common aspect for all is that the qualifying exam should have been passed by January 31, 2020, tenure of qualifying degree should be completed by then. Also, the upper age limit for these posts is 40 years as on this date; relaxation applicable as per category.

Knowing the eligibility criteria, interested and eligible candidates can apply through aiimsexams.org. The application fee for the recruitment is Rs 1500 for general, OBC, and Rs 1200 for SC, ST, EWS.

AIIMS SR SD 2020 exam will be of 90 minutes, a computer based test in one shift, from 10 am to 11.30 am. It will be held in 4 cities in India. It will have 80 multiple choice questions with 1 mark per question and no negative marking. This will be followed by an interview of 20 marks.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is an is a medical college and research public university. It was established in the year 1956 through an Act of Parliament. It operated autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The main function of the Institute is to provide opportunities by training teacher for medical colleges in the country. Postgraduates are given exposure to newer methods of teaching. AIIMS main campus is spread into 5 locations – East campus, west campus, JNPA trauma center, masjid moth campus and ayurvigyan nagar campus.
