All India Institute of Medical Sciences is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies for the post of Junior Resident (Non-Academic). AIIMS has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the website aiimsexams.org. Eligible and intending candidates can apply for the recruitment which will be conducted through counselling of eligible and shortlisted applicants. The link to apply online is open till tomorrow i.e. August 13, 2020.
As per the official recruitment notification, 194 vacancies are available across different departments of the Institute. The vacancies are for the session of July 2020 that has commenced on July 01. 2020 and will end on December 31, 2020. Detailed vacancy bifurcation as per various constitutional categories and departments of AIIMS, New Delhi is provided in the official notification. The highest number of vacancies are available in the Department of Emergency Medicine (76) followed by the department of Rheumatology (31) and Emergency Medicine Trauma Centre (12). 82 unreserved vacancies are available in different departments while 18 vacancies are reserved for EWS candidates, 50 vacancies are reserved for OBC candidates, 31 vacancies are reserved for SC candidates and 13 vacancies are reserved for ST candidates.
Selected candidates are to be appointed at the level 10 of the pay matrix in the pay band 3 ( Rs 15600 + 5400 GP). At this level, candidates are entitled to receive an entry pay of Rs 56100 per month plus additional allowances. However, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the aforementioned recruitment. Applicants must have passed the MBBS/BDS degree (including internship). The degree must be recognized by MCI/DCI. However, the candidates must have passed not earlier than 03 years from the date of commencement of the Junior Residency (Non-Academic) program i.e. June 30, 2020. In addition, candidates must have DMC/DDC registration.
The selection of candidates is to be done through counselling. AIIMS candidates are to be considered on preferential basis for the recruitment. However, those who have already completed 03 years of Junior Residency before either at AIIMS or anywhere else are not eligible for the recruitment. Candidates, approximately 04 times the number of available vacancies are to be shortlisted for the counselling from among eligible applicants. However, all reserved category candidates are to be called for counselling. During the time of online application, candidates have to choose their preference of specialty (department). AIIMS MBBS graduates are to be considered at first to fill up the merit list. Only after all AIIMS graduate applicants has been selected or disqualified, will other applicants be considered for shortlisting. Merit lists are to be prepared on the basis of the rank obtained in May 2020 AIIMS PG Entrance Examination. Those who have not appeared for the exam are to be ranked after those who have appeared in the exam. Candidates can apply online at the official AIIMS website as specified here. Immense care should be taken to enter all information accurately as changes are not allowed after the closure of the application window or submission of the applications. Candidates are not required to attach any documents with the application form. However, all documents in original must be produced during the process of counselling of selected candidates.
