All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released a notification announcing that it will conduct the Institute of National Importance Super-Specialty Entrance Test (INI-SS) for the January session 2022 on December 07, 2021. The written test will be conducted online via the computer-based mode. The candidates who successfully clear the AIIMS INI SS 2022 entrance test will be eligible to pursue post-doctoral courses including DM, M.Ch (3 years), and MD – Hospital Administration at AIIMS, New Delhi, and other esteemed institutes like PGIMER, NIMHANS, JIPMER, and SCTIMST. The hall tickets of this assessment can be downloaded from the official site of the AIIMS, New Delhi.
Applicants will be shortlisted in this exam for the above-mentioned courses on the basis of an MCQ-based online exam and lab assessment. In order to pass this exam, applicants must score more than 50% marks for both assessments combined. The MCQ-based online exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 07, 2021. A total of 80 questions totaling 80 marks will be asked in the exam. Furthermore, one mark is awarded to every correct response, 0 mark for no response and 1/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. The exam will be of 90 minutes duration.
Registration for the INI SS 2022 session has been already closed on November 16, 2021. Applicants are expected to receive their application status from November 19 to November 23, 2021. In addition to that, the eligibility criteria for each of the courses have been listed. Those applying in the DM course must have an equivalent degree in MD/DNB in their respective disciplines. Similarly, candidates applying for M.Ch Courses must have an M.S degree in Surgery from AIIMS/JIPMER/PGIMER or any other equivalent university recognised by the MCI. Applicants willing to choose the MD Hospital Administration course must possess an MBBS or an equivalent degree, and a minimum experience of 3 years in a government hospital or 5 years of general practice.
It is compulsory for all the candidates to score 50% or more marks in the written exam as well as 50% or more marks in both stage one: written exam, and stage two: lab exam. The lab assessment applicable to all AIIMS exams is of 20 marks. The lab exam schedule will be announced separately on the official website of AIIMS after successfully conducting stage one of the exams. Only stage 1 qualified applicants will be permitted to appear for the Lab exam.
