All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the result of INI CET 2021 exam, at aiimsexams.ac.in. The institute has published a pdf file containing roll number wise rank and percentile obtained in the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INICET). A total of 31,680 candidates have been declared as qualified for counselling for MD, MS, DM, MCh, and 1,525 candidates have been declared as qualified for counselling for MDS.
Login is not required to check the result merit list. However to download the individual marksheet / score card, candidates have to login at candidate Mypage login to get those.
To check the result announced today, one has to go to aiimsexams.ac.in. Then click the link ‘academic courses’. On next page, click ‘INI-CET(MD/MS/MCh(6yrs)/DM(6yrs))’. On the pop up that opens, click ‘proceed’. Then under notifications, click ‘Result: Roll number wise list of Provisionally Qualified Candidates in INI-CET July 2021 session’. This opens the merit list.

AIIMS has also published scores of all candidates, including those who have not qualified, on the Mypage login. To download the same, one has to visit the url finalmdmsmch.aiimsexams.ac.in/Login#!, and login with their registration id, examination unique code, and password. All candidates have been awarded percentile score on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.
The released INICET merit list pdf indicates list of candidates who have provisionally qualified for admission to MD, MS, 6yrs DM, 6 yrs MCh, and MDS courses for the July 2021 session in the INIs AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, NIMHANS Bengaluru. Candidates can check whether they are in the list or not by using search functionality such as using the ctrl+f function and searching their roll number.
INI CET 2021 qualifying cut off
The qualifying cut off is the 50th percentile for Unreserved (UR) seats including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Sponsored, Deputed, Foreign National. It is the 45th percentile for OBC, SC, ST, PwBD. And it is the same, 45th percentile for Bhutanese Nationals (PGI-Chandigarh only).
Tie breaking has been done as per the INI CET criteria, wherein, if two or more candidates had equal marks, then was resolved by applying the following criteria sequentially namely (1) less negative marks and (2) older by age.
What next?
With the result announced, next event of importance is the counselling process. That will entail choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification process. Through these, PG medical aspirants across India will be given admission to seats in the INIs. As per the latest final seat matrix uploaded, the seats are as follows AIIMS Delhi – 227, AIIMS Bhopal – 35, AIIMS Bhubaneswar – 46, AIIMS Jodhpur – 101, AIIMS Nagpur – 32, AIIMS Patna – 63, AIIMS Raipur – 56, AIIMS Rishikesh – 12, JIPMER – 124, NIMHANS – 25, PGIMER – 125.
It is relevant to note that while qualified students will compete for seats, others will shift their focus to NEET PG 2021 exam, which is scheduled to be held on September 11, 2021.
