300 UKSSSC Vacancies for Clerk and Steno Open; Apply online at sssc.uk.gov.in

Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission is inviting applications from Class 12th pass candidates for recruitment into various subordinate services of the state government

Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Accounts Clerk & Stenographer. A total number of 300 vacancies are advertised for the said posts through separate notifications available at the official website i.e. sssc.uk.gov.in. Eligible candidates, who wish to apply for the recruitment must go through the notices to understand the complete terms and conditions of recruitment and get other important information about post and selection processes. The online application process is commencing on July 31, 2020. The last date of submission of online applications is September 14, 2020. Applicants will be able to pay the application fees online till September 16, 2020. The written exam is scheduled to be conducted tentatively in the month of December 2020.

Two separate notifications for recruitment to the posts of Accounts Clerk and Stenographer are published by the Commission. As per the notifications, there are 142 vacancies available for the post of Accounts Clerk and 158 vacancies for the post of Stenographer/Personal Assistant. These vacancies are in various subordinate services of the Government of Uttarakhand. Candidates willing to apply for these aforementioned vacancies must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions at first. The post-wise minimum eligibility conditions in terms of the age and educational qualifications required are also specified in the detailed notifications for each of the posts.

Candidates applying for the post of Accounts Clerk must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12th ) exam in Commerce stream. In addition, such applicants must have a typing speed of 4000 key depressions per hour or more. Selected applicants are appointed at Pay Level 3 in the pay scale of Rs 21700 – Rs 69100. Similarly, candidates within the age range of 18 to 42 years are eligible to apply for the available vacancies for the post of Stenographer. Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12th) exam of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad or equivalent. In addition, they must have a Hindi typing speed of 40 wpm on a typewriter and 4000 key depressions per hour on the computer. Selected candidates are to be appointed at Pay Level 04 to 06 as per the post appointed to.

The selection of eligible applicants is to be done through the written exam. The written exam for the selection of applicants to the Accounts Clerk post consists of a question paper of 100 marks. The maximum duration allowed to complete the test is 02 hours and all the questions are of objective type only. The examination is based on Commerce subjects. Candidates who secure at least 45% marks in the written exam are declared eligible for subsequent selection stages. In addition, incorrect answers incur negative marking with 1/4 marks deducted for every incorrect answer. The exam pattern for those who apply for the post of Stenographer is similar to the aforementioned pattern for Accounts Clerk applicants. However, the syllabus consists of General Hindi, General Knowledge and General Studies for those who apply for the Stenographer posts. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notifications for the complete details of the written exam and selection process.

In order to apply, candidates must at first register at the website through the One Time Registration (OTR) profile. Candidates have to upload a recent passport-sized photograph and signature as per the specified file size of 50Kb. An application fee of Rs 300 must be paid by Unreserved and OBC candidates. SC/ST, PWD, and EWS candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 150 only. Candidates must note that they fulfil all eligibility conditions before applying and the process must be completed before the final date.
