YSRCP Job Mela Vizag

Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is all set to host a ‘Job Mela’ on two days – today, April 23, and tomorrow, April 24, 2022. This two-day YSR Mega Job Mela shall begin at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, with 200+ companies participating in this event. More than 77,000 individuals will also be among the participants, looking for an employment opportunity in the relevant field. With impressive participation, the mela is looking to offer almost 24,000 jobs spread across various sectors.

Commencing at sharp 8:00 am, the mela is scheduled to continue till 5:00 pm, on both days. In case of vacant opportunities and responses received, the mela might just get extended to Monday, April 25, 2022.

Aiming to provide employment to youth

Only yesterday, April 22, 2022, YSRCP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy addressed the media while elaborating on the job mela. As many as 23900 diverse jobs are being offered in this event. These jobs belong to a variety of sectors including banking, insurance, marketing, IT and many more.

After the successful selection and shortlisting of jobseekers, an offer letter will be handed out to them. This process shall take place between 4 pm and 7 pm, every day.

As per Reddy, the party aims to create employment for the youth of Andhra Pradesh, following the promise made by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. In fact, courses and institutions are being designed to cater to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The basic aim is to increase the gross employment ratio to 50% from the existing 36%.

As per the YSRCP secretary, the CM has already provided 4 lakh employment opportunities in the government sector. These jobs are pertaining to volunteer responsibility and secretariat staff. Now, the state government is targeting the private sector to improve youth employment.

Job mela in Tiruptati

Interestingly, this is not the first time that YSRCP has planned a job mela in the state. In fact, a similar event was organised in Tirupati. Although this event aimed at offering 5000 jobs, more than 7,500 offer letters were handed out in the end.

About the Vizag mela

As per official information, 206 participant companies have been organised in separate rooms spread across 13 buildings in the campus. Furthermore, these companies have been clubbed into various blocks depending on their industry type e.g. IT block, banking sector block, etc.

To participate in this job mela, jobseekers need to scan the QR code from the mela’s official website ysrcpjobmela.com and select the blocks matching their preferred industry types. To help facilitate easier maneuvering, the company’s name, industry, job profile, qualification required, number of vacancies, etc will be displayed outside each room. Around 800 volunteers and teachers shall be involved to facilitate the seamless conduction of this job fair.
