Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jharkhand has launched the official XAT mock test. This mock test has been launched online at xatonline.in. With about 1 week to go for the exam, registered candidates can use the mock test to understand the exam pattern, and marking scheme. The actual exam, that is XAT 2021 will be held on January 3, 2021. The admit card for XAT 2021 was also released recently, on December 21, 2020, and the same is also available for download at xatonline.in.
To access the XAT mock test visit the official website and click on the “mock test” link. The login page will open next, there is no need to enter any details, candidates have to simply click on the “sign in” button. The mock test will open in a new window. This page will have general instructions for the candidates.

As per the XAT mock test general instructions, the total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes, which is 3 hours. Apart from that, it states the instructions for navigating to a question, answering a question, saving the answer, and navigating through sections.
Also, as per the mock test, the language of the CBT exam will be English only. All the questions will be of MCQ type and each of them will have 5 choices, of which one will be the correct answer. There be 100 questions in all. There will 2 parts to the CBT exam. Each part will be time-bound, which means the test will move to the next part once the time limit of the first part is over. Also once the time limit of the second part will end, the exam will end automatically.
Part 1 of the CBT will be of 165 minutes and will have 26 questions from Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, 21 questions from Decision Making, and 28 questions from Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation.
Part 2 of the CBT will be General Knowledge. The candidates have to complete 25 GK questions in 15 minutes.
Each correct answer will have 1 mark and each wrong answer will penalise the candidates with 0.25 marks. Additionally, negative marks will be awarded for every unattempted question after 8 unattempted questions which will be -0.10 marks. However, there will be no negative marking in the GK section at all.
The PWD candidates will get extra time to complete the exam. They will get extra time of 20 minutes per hour which results in extra time of 55 minutes for Part 1 and 5 minutes for Part 2.
Note that in XAT, the candidates will not be given access to on-screen calculator.
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The XAT score will be used by more than 160 institutes for admission.
