National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is expected to release the NTSE stage 2 result soon. The council has earlier released the provisional merit list and answer key on February 07, 2022. Along with that, it has also been announced that the final merit list shall be announced by February 11, 2022. However, the result of NTSE Stage 2 stands delayed as of now. The candidates were provided with a gap of 3 days for filing any errors related to the marks mentioned on the NTSE Stage 2 result.
NTSE Stage 2 was held on October 24, 2021, in multiple shifts across the different centres located in the country. Although, no reason has been announced by the council citing the delay in the release of the NTSE Stage 2 result. However, leading reports available on the internet have been suggesting that the result shall be announced today, February 14, 2022, by 5 pm. However, there is no official authenticity for this news as of now.

The merit list link shall be activated on the official website, ncert.nic.in. Candidates can simply check and download it to know if they have successfully cleared the examination. Only those who find a name in the final merit list of NTSE Stage 2 shall be considered eligible to draw the scholarship as promised by NCERT. As per the official notification, the candidates who are studying in Class XI to Class XII will be eligible to avail of a scholarship of INR 1250 per month. For candidates currently pursuing any course under the Undergraduate and Postgraduate curriculum, a scholarship of INR 2000 per month is applicable. Whereas for those who are students of PhD courses, the scholarship amount is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

NTSE exam is an initiative of NCERT and is held annually to award scholarships to candidates studying in class XI to Doctoral courses. As per reports, the council awards at least 2000 scholarships annually under the different curricula. Post-release of the result, the candidates have to open a joint account with their parents and send the details to NCERT. Other than this, those who belong to the OBC category shall be also eligible to submit the format mentioning the details such as roll number, candidate’s personal details, OBC category details etc.
