After WBPSC Fire Operator Result, now Admit Card out for Physical Measurement Test

Physical measurement test and physical endurance test are slated to take place this month.

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to conduct physical measurement test, and physical endurance test for the post of Fire Operator next week. For the same, call letters are now available at pscwbapplication.in. Candidates who were declared qualified on the basis of their performance in the written exam download the call letter and attend PET, PMT that will be held on six dates – September 23, 2019, September 24, 2019, September 25, 2019, September 26, 2019, September 27, 2019, and September 30, 2019.

To download the WBPSC admit card 2019 for fire operator PET, PMT, one need go to pscwbapplication.in and click the first link under call letter. The link is labelled as “fire operator in the west bengal fire services under the department of fire & emergency services, govt. of w.b. (advertisement no.15/2018)”. Once done, the call letter download page opens. Where one has to enter either enrolment number and date of birth, or first name and date of birth.

WBPSC had announced the result of fire operator exam, held on July 20, 2019, on September 13, 2019. The result is available in a pdf format, containing details of roll number of the candidate, name of the candidate and father’s name, and their PET, PMT date. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Endurance Test will be conducted at the Institute of Fire Service, L.M. Dey Garden, Diamond Harbour Road, Shilpara, Kolkata – 700008. The test will begin sharp at 10.00 am and the candidates have to report at 9:00 am, one hour before the test.

Before appearing in the PMT test, candidates have to fulfill the conditions laid down by the West Bengal Commission. Candidates of all categories need to have a height of 5’6” or 167.6 cms, and a chest of 32” or 81.3 cms. with expansion of 2” or 5 cms. Whereas the candidates belonging to Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and other hill tribes need to possess a height of 5’3” or 160 cms and a chest of 81.3 cms. with expansion of 2” or 5 cms.

During the Endurance test, candidates have to undergo 1000 meter run within 5 minutes, ladder climbing within 20 seconds, lifting and carrying of sandbag weighing 63.5 kg continuously for minimum of 50 meters, run up three stories of standard staircase within 1 minute, rope climbing using hands within 60 seconds and high jump of 1.22 meter or more than that.

The selection of the candidates in the position of fire operator will be filled through direct recruitment on the scores secured in the written exam, physical measurement test, endurance test. Candidates who qualify the three phases will be called for a personality test which is due to be held. The communication for the same will be made in the website of WBPSC.
