JIPMER 2020 on the other hand is held for admission to the two campuses of JIPMER – one in Puducherry, and the other in Karaikal. This exam is computer based. The institute is expected to soon announce exam dates. Last year, exam date was notified in the month of August itself. The exam is usually held on the first Sunday in the month of June every year. Thus for the 2020-21 session, it is expected to be held on June 7, 2020.

At JIPMER there are 200 MBBS seats, 150 in Puducherry and 50 in Karaikal.

The exam has five sections namely physics, chemistry, biology, english language and comprehension, logical and quantitative reasoning with 60, 60, 60, 10, 10 questions each.

Likewise 1,45,467 students took the JIPMER MBBS entrance exam in the previous session. The exam was held at 280 centres in 120 cities in India.

National Testing Agency will conduct NEET 2020 on May 3, 2020 in pen and paper mode again. Thus the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test will be the first medical entrance exam of the session. After that, the exam for AIIMS will be held, and then JIPMER is likely to be the last in the calendar.

However, registrations for NEET 2020 will start on December 2, 2019, most likely at ntaneet.nic.in. Whereas basic registration for AIIMS 2020 is expected to commence in November, at aiimsexams.org. To apply for the AIIMS entrance exam, students need to first do a basic registration, and then do final registration that is likely to be available in February next year. JIPMER is also looked forward to issue registration form at jipmer.edu.in from either February or March.
