West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has today, June 03, 2022, announced the WB Madhyamik Result 2022. Results have been made available for students online at 10:00 am, on the official websites wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.org. Earlier today, the WBBSE president Kalyanmoy Ganguly had chaired a press conference, announcing the results for Class 10 or Madhyamik Pariksha. Along with announcing the result, other aspects such as toppers’ list and board exam 2023 dates were also announced during the event.
The WB Madhyamik board exams 2022 were held across the state, from March 07 to 16, 2022. Each subject paper was held in the pen-and-paper mode, from 11:45 am to 3:00 pm.
WB Madhyamik Result 2022 – meet the toppers
As per the WBBSE president, as many as 114 students have made it to the WB Madhyamik Result 2022 merit list. Interestingly, there are many ties and so, several students occupy the same rank in the top 5 list. Following are the toppers for academic year 2021-22 –

Two students, namely Arnab Gorai and Rounam Mandal have achieved Rank 1 in the West Bengal Class 10 board exams 2022 by scoring a whopping 693 marks. Kaushiki Sarkar and Rounak Mandal follow suit by achieving rank 2 with a score of 692 marks out of 700.
WB Madhyamik Result 2022 – statistics & overall performance
This year, a total of 11,27,800 candidates had enrolled for the WB Madhyamik 2022 exams out of which, 10,98,775 appeared and 9,49,927 cleared. The success rate of students was recorded highest in east Midnapore.
Looking at the WB Madhyamik Result 2022 , it is evident that boys have outperformed girls with respect to passing percentage. Even the first position in merit list has been occupied by two boys. While 88.59% boys have passed the board exams, the passing percentage of girls is 85%, 3% less than boys.
The overall passing percentage was determined as 86.60%, drastically lower than last year’s 100% figure. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, board exams were not held in 2021. Instead, students were all declared pass and evaluated based on alternate criteria.
On the flip side, this year’s performance is marginally better than the 2020 passing percentage of 86.34%. However, in 2019, the figure was 88.87%, implying a clear decline in state board performance.

Students can check their WB Madhyamik Result 2022 after 10:00 am, using the steps given below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of WBBSE i.e., wbbse.wb.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the link attached to the words “Madhyamik Pariksha Result 2022”.
Step 3: A new page will open containing the login window. Key-in the required credentials such as Roll Number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Submit’ option.
Step 5: WB Madhyamik Result 2022 marksheet will appear on the screen. Download or print a copy of the document for future reference.
