How to check WBBSE Madhyamik result 2021 via SMS?

Students can check their results on exametc.com. All they need to do is pre-register on the website using the Madhyamik registration number and phone number. Right after the declaration of the results by WBBSE, the students will receive an SMS from exametc.com containing their results.

Students will need the same credentials – i.e. registration number and DOB to check the result online.

Besides website, and SMS, there is one more route to check result, that is via the app – Students can download the ‘Madhyamik Result 2021’ app from Google Play store and get their results. In the official notification from WBBSE, it has been stated that students can also check their results from results.shiksha free of cost.

Earlier, WBBSE President Kalyanmoy Ganguly had declared that no merit list will be published this year. This announcement came after WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee decided to withhold the 2021 Class 10 and 12 board examinations keeping in mind the rising Covid-19 cases in the state. The examination was scheduled to begin from June 01, 2021 onwards. The heads of the schools are directed to collect the marksheets and pass certificates from the camp offices. However, no student will be allowed to collect their documents from the schools. This year, only guardians can collect the hard copies of their wards’ results from the respective schools and institutions.

The evaluation criteria that have been formulated for this year will give 50% weightage to the Class 9 exams and 50% on the internal assessments. A total of 2 lakh students have registered for the WB Madhyamik examinations this year. In case a student is not satisfied with their scores, they can sit for a special examination only after the Covid-19 situation gets better.

In 2020, the WBBSE Madhyamik results were announced on July 16 while the examination was conducted between February 18 and March 13. A total of 10,03,666 students appeared for the exam, out of which 8,43,305 students got a pass percentage of 86.34. For boys, the pass percentage stood at 89.87 while for girls, it was 83.48. Similarly, in 2019, the combined pass percentage was 86.07 percent.
